HiFiSi Posted October 28, 2007 Report Share Posted October 28, 2007 No, it's weatherproof, and you can mount it on the exterior of the car. It's just that there's no point to mounting it on the roof and running the wire through some weatherstripping somewhere and risking a leak when you can mount it at the front of the dash and not have to worry about it, while still getting a good signal.
