IndyCharger06 Posted November 4, 2007 Report Share Posted November 4, 2007 I'm having a strange issue with teh AVIC Z2 in my Charger. Recent change was the addition of a new alarm system. Added a Avitel 4400 with remote start. Everything was fine for a few days. Night mode issue was corrected with connecting a loose wire. Tonight, without warning things are off upon a fresh engine start. I started up to go to the store, no night mode (lights were on). Also, the arrow on the GPS was off, by like 45 degrees. Lasted thru a few resets and restarts. I then when in and reset the calibration. (Had gone 4400+ miles since install). Now the direction is good and arrow is slightly to the right of the actual road. Assume learning will correct that one. I am wondering if the remote start could cause it. When remote starting I have to put the key in, turn it to on, tap the break and then I can drive.
