HarmsWay
Unfortunately, it's not a very intuitive process and there are differences in how the phones work. With my Motorola v551, I put the D3 in "Phonebook Transfer" mode, then ***from the phone***, push each entry in one at a time. I couldn't get them all to go at once. With a newer phone you should be able to send them all at once. By push, I mean, select the entry on the phone and find how to send that entry to a bluetooth device (Pioneer BT Unit should appear as a choice on your phone).
Lu Scola
how do you get to phonebook transfer mode?
HarmsWay
On the D3, from the BT-Tel screen: Menu -> Function -> Phonebook Transfer

neosolipsism
From what I understand the phone has to support OPP to transfer the phone book. If OPP (Object Push-Pull) is supported, it should be listed as a Bluetooth profile on your phone. I've seen plenty of phones that will pair with the BTB-200, but not transfer phonebook entries. kryngle
Usually when I try and transfer my phonebook I try and send it VIA Bluetooth. Im not ure if thats the correct way. I even tried to transfer it by sendin my name card and nothin. How can I check if my phone supports OPP???
neosolipsism
Look in the manual on your phone under Bluetooth details. Most Bluetooth phones at least support GAP, HFP, and HSP. These are the profiles associated with your average headsets and hands-free applications. There are lots of others, many of which relate to computer functions (Fax, Dial-Up Networking, FTP, etc.). You should be able to find a listing of supported BT profiles in your phone's documentation. I'm not 100% positive that OPP is what allows phonebook transferring, but I do know the Pioneer CD-BTB-200 utilizes OPP, and the only phones I've seen that I've been able to transfer phonebooks on had OPP capability. kryngle
Well I checked my phone since the manual to my cell is complete useless. I found OP (Object Push) in there. I also saw Fax, Data, Fax/Data options. I tried em all and still nothin. Im playin around wit this thing and Im just lost.
Ed38
Anyone who has problems with BT and D3, should try to change the Bluetoothstack on your cell. I tried it and my phone, which shouldn't be compatible with the AVIC-D3, works perfect! Only difference is, I live in the Netherlands http://www.jetwaremobile.com/index.htm Good luck!
