BLUETOOTH PAIRING PROBLEMS WITH AVIC-Z2

Sending Contacts to the AVIC requires support by your phone.

In most cases, contacts are transferred one by one. Again this is a phone firmware thing.

To transfer contacts

Go to the Phone Menu and press the Receive Bus. Cards (I am doing this from memory, so bare with me). The AVIC will disconnect from your phone and go into a waiting mode. On your phone you start the Send Contact process. AFAIK the AVIC will receive as many contacts your phone will send on one shot.

When all is said and done, the AVIC will reconnect to your phone.

I have a Motoroal V3c from Verizon. The Verizon firmware did not allow the transfer of contacts. I changed the firmware to Alltel and there was an extra function to transfer contact - albiet one by one.

So check to ensure your phone is capable of sending contacts. Not all phones support it.

I have a blackberry 8300, and it works as you stated with no problems.

I think its timing..

You setup the Z* to wating for the transmission.

Then on your phone you go through the menu's and say send your address book. Your Z* will show that it's connected and state when the file transfer is complete.
