86SS
ok look i searched thru the posts for about 45min. now i came to the conclusion it can be bypassed after the N3 upgrade. now what i want to kno is what does it disable on the unit? my vehicle doesnt use a VSS as its cable drivin, so thats not hooked up but the G meters and speed on the unit works dead on. i dont want to loose this option indefinetly! also ive read on 12volt.com some people said the soldering is done on the nav unit and some say headunit. can someone take a picture so im not going crazy here. i was not aware of the disabling features until driving to work today, the upgrade is really worth it IMO except for this issue. whtcrxghst
You will need to solder on the main circuit board if you still want to watch movies while in motion, or do an address/telephone search, etc. There is a thread on here with detailed instructions on how to do it. It likes like the pic here when finished: http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic. ... c&start=
86SS
awsome. thats not too hard. now what features will this lock up? or does it have no effect other than unlocking the DVD and NAV while driving.
whtcrxghst
All it will do is let you do everything all the time. Doesn't cut anything off
