nitinj
Find the nearest Ikea? I cannot figure out how to do this search on my AVIC D1 without entering in a city name. If I don't know where the nearest IKEA is, how am I going to know what city it is in? This seems like a basic capability any navi system should have.
whtcrxghst
POI search, hit city to enter the city name, then type IKEA above it
nitinj
POI search, hit city to enter the city name, then type IKEA above it Thanks, but that will not always return the "nearest IKEA". Also I would need to know the city in which IKEA is, which defeats the purpose of the search in the first place. Is it possible to do this basic navigation search on an AVIC? I can easily do it on maps.google.com.
whtcrxghst
No, only the Z-series searches by distance
nitinj
No, only the Z-series searches by distance Thanks, I never knew the Z-series could do that. Have you ever heard of someone porting over the Z-series navi software to a D1? Is it possible?
whtcrxghst
Nope, can't be done. Think it has something to do with the N and D series working off a disk, and the Z series off a HD
