what ipod generation works the video via cd-1200 lead on d3

Recommended Posts

Yes, the D3 was made to work with the 5th and 5.5 generation iPod. You will be able to play video through the iPod with that generation without any trouble.

But, I have also heard that some people got their 6th generation classic iPods to play video through the D3 by plugging in the iPod, selecting video on the D3, select a video on the iPod, unplugging the iPod, and finally plugging it back in.

Once you have the iPod plugged into the D3 and go into the ipod section of the AV Menu, press the video button. The screen will turn black and also tells you to use your ipod for full control. Go to your ipod, select a video to play. If you have your iPod set to ask if you want to turn TV Output on or off, select ON. The video will then play on the D3, no need to press play on the D3. Once the Video is playing, you can skip, pause, play, rew, ff your videos from the D3.
