wu299
I'm in the Bay Area and ever since I upgraded to CNDV-70MTP, the routing here skips highway 101 and always routes me around. I have multiple routes turned on and usually all of the routes go somewhere other than the obvious best route. I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem. I see that a lot of D3 owners are complaining about the maps and I'm assuming that's because they also have the same software that I'm running with 70MTP. Is there a way to burn a disc with the old routing software but newest maps? I've searched for the steps to downgrade back to the previous version, and in previous threads, it says that they are posted, but I can't find them. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks
HiFiSi
Is the "avoid highways" option on or off?
wu299
the option is definitely turned off. i mean...it will route me 15-20 miles out of the way taking other highways in the area. it just won't go up the obvious highway. i've tried using the "shortest" route instead of "fastest", but sometimes that doesn't include the highway for stretches too...like it might end up picking a road that runs parallel to the freeway, and is just a mile or two shorter to the destination, but would take way longer to actually drive on.
