mdsulli
I have installed a AVIC N4 in a 2003 Audi A4 Cabriolet that had the Bose factory system without navigation. All went well except I have a thump from the factory AMP when I turn the unit off and on. I have read through the old post on this forum and others but have not been able to resolve my issue. Here is what I have done. I reinstalled the factory head unit and verified that it was outputting 12v to the amp turn on lead. I have also disconnected the amp turn on lead powered on the Avic waited a few second and reconnected the AMP turn on lead. After doing this I do not get the thump and everything else worked fine. So I guess I need to delay on the amp power on wire right? I have few questions is this a correct assumption? Will the delay resolve both the power on and off thump or just the power on? Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to achieve this delay? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
