Aggie Pilot
I just installed my new N4, but I have a problem. I'm tired, so I haven't searched yet, so I apologize. Does anyone know of any reason I would get audio in radio mode, but not XM or iPod? Thanks.
tillithz
remote wire? remote turn on or radio/ant connection
Aggie Pilot
Are those settings or did I mess something up on the install? I didn't see either of those things in the manual.
whtcrxghst
Probably connected the wrong blue wire. One has a white stripe, one doesn't. Common mistake
Aggie Pilot
Do you mean I transposed the blue and blue/white wires when I did the wiring harness? Crap. What do those wires do?
Aggie Pilot
Problem Solved! No, the wires weren't messed up. I don't know how anyone could do that. Turns out it was a settings problem. I don't know why, but the Antenna Control has to be in Power mode (vice Radio). XM works, but I forgot to take my iPhone to the car with me, so I'll have to wait until after work to test it. It seemed to work last night (sans audio), so my hopes are high. Other lessons learned: Wear gloves in cold weather. My hands are hamburger. MisFit is awesome. Thanks again. If you take the center console out, make sure the seatbelt receiver is on the OUTSIDE of it before putting it back in.
