Thanks much for your response. Yes I checked all the connections. In fact I have all my speakers running off the HU and just the subs off of the preamp RCA sub output. I tried the blue wire trick lat night and even resetting the unit per the manufacturer suggestions (three different methods). Still nada. I tried to email ducatiboy but his email is full. Hello all, Well my screen I have had my Avic Z1 working fine for over three years (have 2 wire bypass as well). About 2 weeks ago my touch panel screen cracked (not the LCD. I sucessfully replaced the touch panel and all works well. The problem that I have now is no sound from any source. If I turn the volume up all the way I get the subs to rumble. My speakers are connected directly to the HU, and my subs are connected thru the RCA sub outs into its own Amp. Soory Gents for the newbie questions but I have been out of touch for a while. I have a Z2 and the last update I did was last year 2008. What and how do I sucessfully update my Z2 to Z3? Step by Step would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, PGN

Gents, I have had my Z2 in my car for a year. I took it out b/c I was having a heated seat issue in my 07 350z, and the dealer was questioning the radio as an excuse. I took it out to avoid that issue. Now, I put everything back together, and my GPS is way off, no directional voice guidance except (you have arrived). Any ideas? I am wondering if I damaged the sensor/wiring. Also, in the 3D calibration screen it says "sensor initializing" but stays on that setting. I am sure that it is stuck or something. Also, I just wanted to say thanks to all of the mindshare in this forum.

I have a Z2 which is sucessfullt bypassed. I told my cousin to buy a Z2 and ship it to me. I wanted to remove the hard drive from that new unit, stick it in my Z2, and run the ISO updates on it to bypass the drive. Is that possible?
