  1. Is there some form of a temp lock on these units when they become too hot? I restarted my car a second time and the sound all came back on... I'm totally confused!!
  2. While driving to work today, my z1 stopped producing any sound.. All menus are accessable... Just out of the blue all sounds are off... I pulled over and shut off the car... Restarted... And still no sounds... Radio.. Cd.. Anything... What might this be? Someone please help!!
  3. Has anyone ever successsfully downloaded this cd off of the internet? How would this need to be burned in order for a Z1 to read this cd and do the update? Ive been searching on the internet and i have found the files for a map update cd and also this upgrade for Z1 to be Z3... but im not sure how to burn it.... Any help would be appreciated...
  4. Is there a way to set the Z series to give the option to answer or no... or do all calls just come straight through when you connect the phone to bluetooth?

i was on the phone with pioneer and the guy said there is no set date... but summer more towards late summer.
  6. Hey guys... I went with the Pac system, per recommendations of my installer so im returning that one... Thanks though.
  7. I was on the phone with Pioneer the other day ( I finally got my Z1 installed ) and i was having an issue that i called them about. The rep told me about an update cd that can turn the z1 to z3 for 120 dollars. I didnt inquire too much but i started thing, I probably could find this exact info on the internet to do this update without buying this cd. But what i wanted to ask is, what is the difference in a HD update and using the pioneer cd. I just want to see which whay i should go for ease and functionality. Also, has anyone found this info online so that you dont have to buy this cd?
  8. Per Crutchfield info.... for my vehicle- its the 01... thanks for your help though sirs!!!
  9. Thanks sirs for your replies... My yukon does not have an amplified system because i dont have bose and i dont drive a denali... But thanks for your help... And i was told that the GMOS01 is correct by another source because of the year of my vechicle.. but i am going to contact the company directly and see what they say and i will come back with info. Thanks for all your help...
  10. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 2761.l1259 Does anyone know or can provide any feedback about this product? I drive a 2005 GMC yukon with onstar and I see that now installling my Z1 is going to be a little more involved than needed. I was told that i need to buy a harness that comes from my truck to the unit that will enable me to still retain my door chimes and my ONSTAR in my truck... I saw that PAC makes a unit that can solve this problem, and then i came across this product? I just want to be sure that this will solve the issue because the installers are charging 100 + fi
  11. What sort of problems does onstar cause? Good thing I read this before I did my install.. Do you mean have it activated or have the option for onstar?
  12. Have a Z1 and im looking to find out if there is a remote that can be used for DVD functions, rewind fast forward and such. Im looking at the cd-sr1 but before i purchase, I wanted to come to you guys here. Im also in need of a GPS antenna and a bluetooth adaptor and microphone ( I think thats all im missing ). Where might i be able to find one of these at at the best prices? Question 2, With a vehicle such as mine- 05 yukon- i have steering wheel controls and i was wondering if anyone has successfully been able to keep their steerting wheel controls with a Z series unit... Thanks
  13. I'm just making sure I know the reason for this thread.. This discussion is about people whose vehicles are equipped with volume controls and track changing controls on the steering wheel correct? I was wondering how this could be maintained because I own a yukon and I'd like the ability to use my steering wheel funtions, but it seems like its not possible as smooth and with no delay like with stock units.. Has anyone found a effective and errorless solution?
  14. I have the 8320 tmobile blackberry curve.. How does this work with the device? I was told that with some phones you have to answer the call from the phone- some from the unit.. Just want to see how this phone works... With a Z series.
  15. Oh ok... See I don't want my phone book in my avic... I don't mind the answering from the unit part If I can look at my phone and see who is calling and decide to answer via the unit.. Just gotta see I guess.. I have a blackberry 8320 curve, so I'm just trying to see how its gonna happen... As long as the calls don't automatically come thru, that's at least one positive thing to know..
