I've tried everything. I never have problems with the update process but this is the first time I have ever tried updating the maps and I still get the same error, "update package is invalid". Kinda weird.

So I tried with a different usb stick and I received the same error "update package is invalid". I also tried to format it again and download the map updates again and still received the same error. I think I've given up. Also, on my iPhone 6plus. AvicSync now doesn't display the maps anymore. I deleted the AvicSync and re-installed it and still no maps. I'm totally at a loss. I'm pretty good at figuring these things out but this one has me stumped.

Is there a setting where I can have the option of using CarPlay or App Radio without having to change the Input settings on my radio?

Thanks, I will do that. I do have an Avic 8000nex. On the site it shows an Avic 8000nex UC. Would that be the same or is that a unit from another country? That is the only 8000nex that I can pick from on the Naviextras.com site. Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. I let the head unit actually load onto my usb first as is required and then inserted the usb into my laptop and then went online to allow the site to download the appropriate maps required to update my unit. Still got the error message though.

I have a 8000nex. Im able to download map to update onto my usb drive from naviextras.com. Once I successfully download the map update to the usb and start the update in my 8000nex I get an error saying "update package is invalid". I have prepped the usb 3 times in the nex unit and downloaded the updates 3 times and tried to update 3 times but I keep getting this same error. Anyone else experience this? Thanks.

Thanks. I reformatted my USB stick on my windows computer and tried it again in my Mac (thats where I store my music) and still MixTrax won't recognize it. Anything else I may be missing? Thanks again.

Im trying to transfer my playlist in MixTrax over to a USB using my Mac. I open up MixTrax and then insert a usb but the usb doesn't show up in MixTrax to transfer the playlist over. I do have another usb that has all my music on it but when I connect that usb into my 8000nex it plays but I can't have it mix music by genre. It just mixes all the genres together by BPM's. I simply want Mixtrax to play my music by genre. I's there another way to do this? Hope that all makes sense. Thanks.

I also suggest using Playlist Export (Mac). I brought all my music (5000+ songs) over to a usb to play on my 8000nex. Works fine complete with album art.

Oh, and one more question. Concerning the CD-IH202 kit that i was told to purchase along with my AVIC-8000NEX to connect to my Iphone5, the kit comes with a HDMI, a piece of plastic "bundling rope" and a USB cord. However, the USB cord has one end that the attachment looks proprietary or something. It has no place to connect it to the back of my AVIC-8000NEX. Mine has 2 USB and 1 HDMI connections. I connected 1 USB and 1 HDMI cord. Did I miss something during the install?

Hi Everyone. After reading a lot on this forum I have finally purchased and install an AVIC-8000NEX in my F250. The unit is awesome and I am very happy with it so far except for one thing. On the main screen in the upper left corner where the "APPS" icon is there is an "X" just to the right of it and nothing happens when I try to select "APPS". I am using an iPhone 5.
