  1. Well so far it seems like there has been a few people (inc me) that has had issue with 1.10 on the 7000nex.
  2. I ended up bringing my radio into a Pioneer Service Center. According to the tech there, there's a built in SD memory card that seems to have become write-protected, which prevents the update process, and causes the recovery to fail. They ended up ordering the part which will take about 10-12 days (From US =().
  3. Nope sadly I'm in Canada, so I have a feeling it gonna be sent to the States to get repaired.
  4. Nope I did mine with USB. I tried two different USB and both the 1.10 I downloaded yesterday and the 1.08 I downloaded today with no joy. I have an authorized pioneer repair service center about 5 mins away (so I'm lucky) and I'll bring it to them to check it out. Hopefully they won't charge me anything (unit is still under the 1yr warranty)
  5. Ohh I should have mentioned that I tried the 5000-7000 links.
  6. I've had a problem with updating mine too. I first downloaded the firmware yesterday (AVIC- 5000,6000,7000NEX_UC_FW-Update_v1.10), when to do the update, went from 0% to -1, then instantly failed. Now I can't get the radio out of that screen (every time I start the car it tries to update). I've tried resetting the radio with the small button at the front with no luck. I thought it might have been a firmware issue, so I went to re-dl the firmware from the site, now it only gives the 1.08 software (AVIC-5000,6000,7000NEX_UC_FW-Update_v1.08), no matter which link I try (although the site
  7. Anyone else notice that when you go to download the firmware it is now the 1.08 version instead of the 1.10?
  8. I have been into upgrade my car stereo with either a 7000NEX or 8000NEX. Today I was talking an installer/sales person and they mentioned that to use an Ipod for music (literally music only), you need to connect both the 30pin -> USB and an AUX cable? (Which then he mentioned I could just buy the pioneer cable kit). Is this true, or can I simply just connect the Ipod to the unit with the 30pin cable?
