just out of curiosity, if you have a lot of content in the igo directory, will it take long to load the navi? because mine takes about 2-3 minutes to start up the gos/navi/map screen

Ok but what were the original files? I got the image files someone uploaded but they are all Linux based. If they had some sort of emulator I could just pull the files from those.

the problem is this makes no mention mention of the avic2usb and usb2avic scripts, doesnt tell you how to use them and doesnt tell you they are going to be needed. thats why so many are having issues. theres missing information. i didnt know that either and tried to use usb2avic, because all i wanted to do is copy the damn files from my usb to the unit and be done with it. now there is no igo folder in the unit. so now i need to make an igo folder on the usb and i need someone to tell me what was in the units original igo folder so i can put all that in and try again. its frustrating as he

ok, so what i am going to do is make an igo folder on the usb, and inside of it make all the same folders as the unit, and put the files i was trying to install into those corresponding files. i should be ok then right?

i have been trying to put european maps on my american 8100. i installed the script like it said in the thread. then i got nothing but failure to copy errors. i asked and asked and was told i needed to use usb2avic or whatever its called. fine. i found the script after asking and asking and getting no answers. i tried to install it today. now when i am in testmode and tried to copy over the maps and licenses, the igo directory is GONE. guys i really need help. someone please chime in and give me the direction i need because this is irritating.

Hi guys I need to find the script that is used to copy files to the unit. I believe it's called usb2avic and avic2usb can anyone help me with this? I'm trying to install Europe maps into the unit but I really need this script to do it.

does anyone have any ideas of what is causing my error? its annoying did i miss a step? i downloaded the appropriate script, put t on a usb, forced install and selected copy script, the unit says in progress and then reboots. i then tried to copy ad paste maps, did not work, fail to paste error. help.
