How do you connect the F500BT to the Standback unit? What sort of connection do we need to find for those of us who do not have a Mazda or BMW?

EEGeek, this is some impressive progress that you have made. The F500BT is a really nice piece of hardware, and further opening up is going to help all of us get a lot more out of it. I urge you to document your work for the community here as much as is feasible so that your work can be shared. At the same time, I am excited about your proposed Windows app. Now, a few questions: [*:2np0jhkq]Are you modifying the firmware on the F500BT directly, or are you modifying testmode? The problem is that the MSN Direct receiver is in the cradle, and the bundled cigarette lighter adapter powers only the F500BT but not the cradle. As a result, MSN Direct can not be used with this adapter. Some other way to provide power directly to the cradle must be devised.

I would like to find a way to power the cradle for my F500BT with out using the big fat cable which comes with the cradle. In my case, I have a full installation in my car with the ND-500G amp. It works great, but I would also like to be able to occasionally use the unit with working MSN Direct in other cars, such as a rental. To get the MSN Direct to work, I believe that the cradle needs to be powered directly. It is possible to buy a second cable from Pioneer for about $45, and come up with way to use it with a cigarette lighter plug. However, there are two problems with that: 1) I am ch

I activated a prepaid card today, and just called customer service. The conversation went like this: me: I want a refund on my lifetime MSN Direct activation rep: do you want to cancel? me: if I cancel, how long will the service remain active? rep: the service will remain active until 1/1/2012 me: ok, I want to cancel. rep: you activated by prepaid card? please hold while I take care of it [~5 min hold] rep: a check for 129.83 will be sent to (verified address) in 4-6 weeks, your confirmation number is ####. Your service will remain active until 1/1/2012. I'd say try again. Hope

Weo, I have the number mix up with the FeloniusMonkey version. I compared the code, and it looks like he used your revised version (Jul 22). Here is what happens: What doesn't work: (outlook contact=>avic contact) Home+Mobile=>Home+Office What works: Home=>no label Office=>no label Mobile=>no label Home+Office+Mobile=>Home+Office+Mobile Office+Mobile=>Office+Mobile I didn't test Home+Office on edit: looks like the identifier for office and mobile is mixed up still.

This macro is outstanding. I have 2000+ contacts in Outlook/on my WM phone, and was just thinking "I wish there was a simple way of getting a few select contacts directly from Outlook to the AVIC." This thing worked perfectly. I used the FeloniusMonkey version. By the way, the necessary sqlite3.exe file can be found here: http://sqlite.org/download.html
