d4 and z3 will be out end of april/mid may. the units will be very similar to the current units and the d3 firmware update and such will be available when the new units arrive.

And there is no D4. They are on F apparently...though our rep said at least July when I asked him about what I saw on the european site today

Did your rep say that these units would be released in the US and likely be the replacement for the D series or an additional line. What is the future of the D series?

The F is the replacement for the D. It's pretty obvious, as they look almost identical.

i called pioneer they said dont be expecting a d4 or something to replace the d3 anytime soon....probably end of this year MAYBE.....

That does not mean a thing. I would like to hear it from someone that spoke to a sales rep from Pio. Not from the operator at Pio and not speculation.

So go find a Pioneer sales rep and ask them.

Until you do, speculation is all you get.

What im trying to find out is did he indicate to you for sure what would replace the D3. Is it going to be the F series or did he not say.
