Yes

Is the new z3 updated out yet?

The SIRPNR2 is discontinued. You now need the SCC1 from DEI and the CDSB10 from Pioneer. They operate the same though

IF there's no differences, why does the Z3 use CD-SB10 rather than SIR-PNR2 for Sirius ?

OR is the CD-SB10 just their newst and greatest

Is it worth getting? Will it kill my bypass? Thanks.

^^

The Z3 upgrade DVD will work no matter what your unit is (Z1 or Z2).

The Z3 bypass is the 2-wire method. If you have done that already, it won't effect it at all

So if I buy something like this...

http://cgi.ebay.com/AVIC-Z1-Z2-Z3-Upgra ... dZViewItem

all I have to do is replace the hard drive and I get all the Z3 updates such as the new maps?

Wonder how legit that thing is. Can I not update using a disc?

Well I can't imagine he would get that many good ratings if his product was fake or didn't work.

I'll wait til the image is available for free and do it myself considering the drive is only $55 on NewEgg

When that happens can you help me with the set up? Thanks. :D

Here's a question I forgot to ask about the z3. Can we now have more than 400 or is it 500 song for one genre? I hate the fact that we can get a bigger partition for mp3's and still be restricted with that. Hopefully the "favorites" can have more than 100 songs too.

Considering this is most likely limited by the OS on the Avic unit and not the hard drive size, I doubt anything will change.

Here is a screenshot from the Z3 manual which confirms that for now.

Thanks for the info. That sucks though.

I dont think I am going to have the patience to copy over thousands of songs one at a time with 15 track CDs.

I'll stick to XM radio and the occasional CD

I think I may give up my D3 for this...

Can anyone confirm whether or not you can search POIs by name, and then sort them by distance to travel?

Thanks!

Jeff
