great idea, cept the response "he does not want to give a price without knowing how many buyers are involved" doesnt leave me sitting well. His pricing is what it is, so he should be able to tell you how much something would be. It isnt like he will be able to buy bulk and sell them based on how many people want them with a discount, his pricing is pretty firm I would imagine. Besides if he is informed of the avic community here, youd bet he could gather the number of people and spit out a price, especially with 3 pages of interest.

Actually, the price would directly depend on how many people would be buying it. You have to realize that the guy has to turn some kind of profit on this. But given that the more units he moves at one time the easier and more convenient it is for him and he can justify taking a lower profit margin on them.

I do appreciate the response to this thread and I also understand that all of us here are after a great deal and not just a measly discount. Hey Im all for that. I have a dealer here in Houston, TX when he buys he buys in bulk... when the Z1 came out the day of release he had 500 on the shelf... Should I ask him about a bulk discount too. Dont want to step on anyone just a thought.

Well you could ask him about a group buy, using this topic as the basis for the group buy numbers. A little competition never hurt. Hell, he may come back with a lower end number than the first guy.

Ok talked to my guy... he is getting me a quote for 60 units. So if we did do this how do we pay thig guy. I mean I could give him a list and you all call and do your deals over the phone I guess with a CC info and all that. Like if you mention the forum, but I am thinking they are going to want their money for all 60 to give us a deal not just hey I think 60 people are going to call up.
