mine gives that "white noise" sound every once in awhile...so this was just another thing that i thought could contribute to a bad cable...if this happens again...i'm just gonna take my unit up to the dealer i got it from....

My f700 does the exact same thing.... driver side is way lower than right side. I cranked the balance full left...something is jacked up. All other sources are fine.

Ipod touch v1.14

pioneer ipod cable

f700 w/ latest firmware upgrade.

i have had a similar problem with an ipod, the cable is faulty or there are loose pins in it, on the one i had i reset the loose pins and then dropped in a little hot glue to keep them all steady.problem solved!!

Can you take a picture of what you've done? I'm having problems visualising it.

yo probally dont want to use glue cause u will never be able to take the connector off the unit again.. or when the glue hardens wil not be able to plug it in

no you dont glue the unit and plug together i mean you drop some hot glue into the back of the plug where the pins slide into the grooves, of the i pod cable

OK folks my issues must have been the pioneer ipod cable after all. I've had my new cable in for 4 days now and everything works perfect.

Looks like I'll be going to get a cable! :)

I'm having the same problem with the new iPhone 3G. If a lot of people are having the same problem how will getting a new cable fix the problem? Can you use something other then the Pioneer cable?

I think Apple makes a cable that should work just the same as the Pioneer and I think the Apple Cable is a little cheaper believe it or not.

Are people still having good luck after replacing the cable? I'm having mine replaced next week so I hope that fixes the problem.

Mine works fine after replacing the cable. Yours should too.

I had a similar problem. The negative pin broke on the front left RCA input at the white harness on the back of the deck.

Yep... replaced the ipod cable, and it's been fine for about a month now! :)

can anyone else confirm this is the ipod cable and not the ground wire(s) on the white plug?

Is the cable warrantied by Pioneer? This cord costs $50!
