Has anyone successfully updated their D2 with any of the files out currently? Mine bombs out even after patching in the missing EU050APL files (PRG & HTM). It updates and all the buttons work, but the map is completely borked. I'm going to just wait for an official release before I waste any more DL discs.

I used magic to extract and burn. used a verbatim dual layer disk, put it in and it went through the updates, then said wrong disk inserted. Any idea what I've done wrong?

Ok So I've used imgburn and alcohol 120 to try this and neither works. I have the iso image it is the correct size and everything. I have one question:

Does this have to be a "Bootable image" As in magic iso you can burn the dvd as a "bootable iso image" Is that the problem everyone is having?

Yeah..... or Neah....

Went through all 22 pages only to find some minor help, most of it being to try different programs, uncompressing the UIF before burning, yadda yadda. I'll give some of the advice a try tonight and post up my results. I too am having problems with the "Insert the appropriate disk" with my D3.

well, have tried numerous other methods to the same result. Roxio at 1x after decompressing the UIF into ISO seemed to give the most hope.

I'm beginning to think that the way I updated the unit with the UIF burnt to a DL DVD might be the culprit. I loaded up both the UIF disk and the ISO disk to computer and they looked identical. So there must be some other variable.

I'll downgrade the D3 back to factory once I get the proper D3 remote and give'er a try.

I bet we will see a torrent this weekend. Most people are too busy during the week to spend that much time to upload an 8.5 GB file. You just have to be patient. Someone will upload it. And to whom ever does.....Thanks!

Thanks kryngle. It has been a little disheartening with so many people saying "I got mine!" that no one has offered to share the info.

This place is about sharing info, weather a bypass, or a Z3 image, or a DVD torrent...

Anxiously waiting for your "I got mine!" ...

Honestly if I could have purchased them by now I would have, except for some stupid reason they are not available in Canada yet. I wish someone would just upload it already ... bah.

I am currently downloading the torrent, does anyone have experience with getting this burned right on a Mac? Will disk utility burning the image work fine or do I need to use toast?

Thanks

I recommend Toast ... it can read and burn pretty much any type of disk image. pretty sure disk utility will only work with a .img file.

You do know this isn't the map torrent.....right?

This is the Magic ISO burning software so that you can burn the map image once it is released. (As far as we know on here there is nowhere to download it yet)

I don't know a lot about a Mac but I don't think you can run PC software on a Mac unless you have the newer Mac OS.

I am downloading the torrent for the map not magic ISO and no PC apps will not run on mac, unlees you boot to windows on an Intel mac or run a virtual machine. But I have found an app so any mac users can PM me for help on how to burn a UIF file on a mac.

A Mac holds the record for the fastest windows computer. But you can burn an ISO in toast or disck utility. For best results open up toast 9 and click on the disc copy button (two disk with an arrow) then click on the image file button and it will say Read from: Nothing Selected then there will be 2 buttons underneath that one will say select and the other will say mount. First you need to click on select and navigate to the ISO then select it and click choose. Then you will want to click the mount button and this will mount the disk image like it was actually in a drive. You will now want to put in your DVD DL and make sure that you select DVD DL from the list (also make sure you click off the Use Fit-To-DVD Compression in the bottom left) adjust your burn speed to 1x or 2x and burn away. Never have had a problem with any disc doing it that way. PM me if you need any more help

There are ways to run them with out booting into windows so it is possible... but from a regular user standpoint you are right you can not just install a windows program on a mac and get it to work.

yeah, unfortunately I had to tranfer the file from my VUZE folder to an external HDD and burn the disks with my VistaPC. Didn't even want the hassle of trying to do it all on the mac.
