Ok, so I went to do my first mod and used Vorians file. I followed the instructions and unzipped his file and copied in the My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo folder. Now my unit will not boot up! Not even into windows CE mode. The splash screen comes up, it flickers once, then the unit just turns off.. A couple of times it looks likes its going to boot into Windows then the unit just turns off..
If anyone can help I would really really really appreciate it!!
what exactly did you do. we can't help you without specifics.
First I downloaded the vorian_data file. I extracted the zip file, then copied the folder onto my storage card. I went into my car and booted into WindowsCE.
I opened one explorer window and navigated to the My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo folder then,
I opened another explorer window and navigated to the path where I saved the vorian files.
I copied and pasted all the files into from my SD card into the My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo folder.
Turned off the car, removed my SD card, and POOF it wouldn't boot..
I sat in my car for about an hour trying to get it to boot into windowsce, so I could re install the original files.
Funny thing is, I made like 4 copies of the My Flash Disk folder, but if I can't get into WindowsCE, then I can't back it up into the unit..

You put the Data.zip into your unit uncompressed?
I extracted the items from this zip file. There was a Data file that already had the mods that I wanted along with some font files.
I copied the files from that folder with the data file in it into the My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo folder
I have no idea what you just said. was the data folder that you put back into the unit compressed back into a .zip or not? and try to be more descriptive.
The file was compressed
you didnt mess with the testmode folders correct?
Nope, I've even tried, re-adding the testmode folders onto my SD to see if my unit will boot up with no luck.. It's weird cause the unit will only stay on for like 20 seconds then it shuts down.

When you say "all the files", what else did you change besides the data.zip? the .zip should have been a quick copy and paste.
These are the instructions I followed:
For those that have asked me for my current data.zip file... here it is.
I have replaced the standard tahoma and tahomabd font with Comic Sans MS and I have added the star trek fonts finalnew and finalold. I have included all the fonts I used in my zip file.
Unzip the zip file to your SD card and copy all of the included files to your My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo folder on your nav and you should be set to go.
There were 5 font files in that folder, I copied those too, Please don't tell me thats where I screwed up and if so, is there any coming back from that?
do you still have the entire zip you downloaded? can you attach it to a post?
Ok that's all fine. what dod you do with the original data file?
I backed it up on my SD card
Then I am stumped. You did everything right there's no reason why it should be doing that. Hopefully someone more experienced can shed some light for you but Im sorry I really dont know what to say..

Try reseting the unit from the reset button and then try to reboot with the testmode files.
Been there, It still won't work
Have you tried a different SD card with ONLY the Testmode files on it?
See if that will get you into Windows.
Yup tried that too.. The darn thing just won't boot, also tried unplugging from the power source.. 
i do not have a f unit but it almost sounds like there is a video driver missing..im going to down loak the file u did but to me it sounds like i said the is a driver missing
can u post the file that come with the unit?
which file? I have the entire flash disk folder backed up on my PC

Unless a video driver can magically disappear by hacking the unit I doubt that's the case. 
LT are you sure there's nothing else you did?
