ah, sorry, i didnt mean to insinuate that i am getting the apple composite cable since i only have an RCA input available on my D3. this is the one was looking at:

it was recommended in another thread and it seems to be the most reasonable and affordable way to get video off an ipod.

Apple has both types of cables. They are pricey at Apple. You can find them on Ebay cheaper. I bought mine on there cheap. Works with the classic, Iphone4 and Itouch 4. I think they have generic ones on ebay that should work also. I have yet to hook mine up to my D2 but plan on it this spring and do the bypass.
