ok, there are still very minor tweaks to be done but for the most part it's FINISHED!!!

 

after 2 months of work, I've made this image.res that has almost replaced every image. I tried to make this as the apple computer company would, not necessarily based off their system. I think she turned out well. It'll be nice not to work on this everyday.

 

I have around 19 buttons that I wrote a number on but couldn't find their place because I don't use divx disc, cds, sirius, hd radio, or xm so if you guys let me know where they are with screen shots I can replace them.

 

this is awesome i love it, Im a newb to the whole Avic scene- but i have already change an updated some of my own backgrounds and completed the bypass Hardwire change. Is there a guide on how to change it to this , I tried searching but could not find anything...I want to do this but not sure how to start let alone complete the whole process.

download my "image.zip" on page 1 of this topic

take the "image.res" out of the zip you downloaded

put it on a sd card with the testmode folders to get into wince (first sticky on hacks forum)

put it in the apl folder... replace... good

also I won't be going out of town tonight I'll be leaving tomorrow morning so I'll have an update tonight

if you've got cs2-4 you can use bridge... works the best

Lol. I have no idea what that is. I just have a regular picture viewer or paint. Guess i'm outta luck. I just never had this issue with opening bmp's.

google bmp viewer i'm sure there's something out there

I can view all the other bmp's that weren't touched. So why wont it let me view the one's you replaced?

I wish we can collaborate on this, and help post up other colors with you too. Kinda like the Nano, you like the style but you want different colors with it. Red is what im aiming for.

I bet a Ipod + pink theme would be hot with the girls (maybe even me ).

Ok guys, made some big improvements... at least in my eyes.

I replaced missing things that were found, also improved on a few things

I'm sure no one but me will notice but whatever

Also just desaturated the blues and made a gray image.res for people that can't do that as easily

I've been looking for something to get you to view the images... I'm running xp now and I've just been using adobe bridge.

Phone settings: color changed from all blue icons to mixed colors

square signal strength box actually changes shade (Red=strong, Orange=good, yellow=poor)

yeah i got a copy, it still needs more puffy buttons from Basketcase but its pretty much done. I wish I had the before and after pics because i fixed a lot of things that makes my eyes twitch... like factory phone settings where EVERYTHING was boring and blue.

This looks really nice. I hate to be the one to ask but I saw that there is a blue, grey and a red theme but can you do an orange one for us nissan and infinity car owners .

Also as for orange... try out the shades of red and see how you like it. Cause it still might blend with your system (Nissan uses orange+red theme), im pretty sure orange can be done easily but time consuming. but i recently found out about the "action" which makes it all faster.
