No problem :)

Just installed a few minutes ago, was very straightforward. I'll test it out over the next week or so and give my feedback.

Thanks for the great, easy to use (and install) pack!

I like your entire mod, except for a few things.

I liked the Big Clock Like MAverick Had in the upper right corner

I liked the 55/65 speed limit in the lwoer corner where you jsut have the current speed

I liked the original voice for "Over the speed limit", and other voices liek recalculating and off route, ect.

I figured out how to move the clock but the speed limit sign covers it.

Would you be able to mod me a file that puts only the vocie files back like over speed and off route, ect and remove the speed limit sign, and put the speed limit in the lwoer left in the 55/65mph format? I can move the clock myself

Thanks for your help

He has a few of those already ready in other files on his download site (read through the thread to find them), as forthe clock, try gnasr data.zip with this mod and see if you like that (also in the thread around page 13). Once I finish figuring out a few things with mine (just waiting for Cmh to respond to my post) I'll see if i can make my variation on his/gnasr mod available. still got a few bug to iron out (damn dyslexia.. lol)

ok, looks good, just about there, BUT it would still be nice to have the MSN button available while in route as well b/c thats when i use it the most. most of the time when i'm not using a route, I already know the area well enough and know the gas station around and what ones have the lowest prices normally. BUT if I'm having to find a location is when MSN comes in the most handy.

You'll need to move the MSN button further to the right next to the cursor button, then remove (visiblemodel="!navigation.distance_to_manuver.valid") from the button's script. Just swap the x values with the ones for setting_onmap.bmp. You'll then need to reduce the NextStreetName text width to around w=300.

The Day/Night Toggle script is in the settings.ui file in the common\ui folder.

The MSN button is moved to the right side of the screen below the clock and compasses so its out of the way (I'm useing gnasr data.zip as a bace and pulling code from your data.zip to get it set up). I looked in the settings.ui file but not closely, i'll check that tomorrow and fix it (compair the one from gnasr to yours and find the diff.) still a little fuzzy of getting it to stay while in route mode but ill look and see if i can figure it out based on what you posted ( if that waswhat that was for) thanks alot for all your help so far, sry about hijacking your thread a little but its been realy helpful!

ok deleated the (visiblemodel="!navigation.distance_to_manuver.valid")

i copied your setting.ui into the setting.ui in mine (only a small diff in code)

i could not find the setting_onmap.bmp file ( thats the part i was getting fuzzy about trying to figure out what you ment)

My screen set up looks like the picts i put up a few post back, just not getting the MSN with route yet.

now i'm getting a reboot, musta done something wrong anymore tips would be helpful, but now going to bed, will work on it in the morn

Sorry I am an architect and I have been busy with deadlines of late. But I see you already started modding my file with what you are looking for. Good job. Let me know if i can help. I will download cmh's latest mod and check out the code for the compass today.

Hi cmh,

1 question - I am trying to integrate the day night mode toggle with my compass. This is my compass code:

;Compass

;

and I know I need to use your seeting.ui and add this code to my navigate 800_480.ui file:

onrelease='run sc_ToggleDNMode' onclick='playsound "!button"

where do i add that to the code above?

thanks for your help.

Thx, I'll get a pic of it up later when i have a chance to take some and the icons are tweeked.

Now if someone can just figure out how to hack the radio part of the unit there some things i would love to do to it (as in add more presets/ fm band)

GN, Try this. Just copy my entire setting.ui to your data.zip. Replace your compass code with this one.

;Compass

;End Compass

To all those whining about needing a BigClock. I posted a new data.zip to the FTP.

ftp://avic:[email protected]/cmh928/BigClock

The BigClock-Auto.zip will install both the data.zip and the newest SamHybridTTS voice. It is not an all-in-one files. Only those 2 mods are included.

As usual, just unzip the 2 folders to the root of a freshly formatted SD-card.

Posted Apr 21, 2009 · 23:31 UTC#290

do you have any pics of the big clock mod please?

Nope, but I made it easy enough to install that you can try it out to see if you like it.

Uploaded a new version of Data.zip to the FTP. The RouteInfo is now moved up to join the other 2 blue boxes. Stop and Mute are moved down to the bottom. Orange clock on blue background for better legibility. Branded POIs included in data.zip. These work best with the newest IGo 8.3 POIs installed as you can control them better. (Don't ask me for the files, use search and they are listed in another thread.)

Made a smaller Auto-installer for just the Data.zip and TTS Voice.

It is valid your mod for EU models?. In principle data.zip should be not related to versions but at first read it seems that is at least only tested on USA models.

Anyone has tested it on EU model?,

Has anyone done on a EU data.zip)

Great mods Cmh! I've been following your work for a while now and have been quite impressed. Just checked out the big clock and think it looks great. I've got a noobish question though. I'm trying to set the tilt and zoom on the nav screen as close to factory default again and can't seem to find the correct settings. I've searched over the forum trying to find the correct zoom and tilt levels but I haven't had any luck. Tried 7800 but it still looked the same. Would you happend to know the default settings or would it be ok to remove that code from the sys.txt file. to get default settings. Really don't want to brick my unit. Thanks for any help you can provide

Awesome mods!

I was pretty psyched about this night mode change until I tried it. It appears to change the screen colors to darker ones for the night mode. Is there any way to have it change the backlight level or is that hardwired from the illumination signal in the harness? I assume it's not hardcoded since it can be adjusted. I'd like to be able to manually toggle between low and high backlighting. We have a law here that says we have to use our headlights when it's raining and I can't see the headunit when it's that dim. If I turn it up, I get blinded by it at night. It seems I can't win. If I have to, I'll hard wire a switch in to the illumnation signal, but I was hoping to avoid that.

here are picts of my mod

(these are pre- latest Cmh update, i moves the route info stuff up like he did after i took these)

You can't access radio menus from the Nav screen. Shortcut for backlighting has always been to just hold down the Map button for 3 seconds. You could always put a toggle switch on the illumination wire as well. I wired mine to my auto-headlamps sensor. Even with headlights on, it won't dim the display until it gets dark out.

The data.zip will work fine. If you DL the All-in-one, just delete the files from the mitacap\apl2\igo\content\Building folder as they would just take up space on the avic.

Change mitacap\apl2\igo\content\MapDBInfo.txt to read:

Area: EW

IntegrationVersion: 01.000600

BaseContents: content_v142

lang: lang_data_download_080630

voice: voice_data_download_080707

Mitacap\apl2\igo\Sys.txt [Device] Type="PIONEER746EW" would need modified. The Guga theme should work fine, but not all Sat/HD radio icons will be available. Everything else should work A-OK.

Posted some new versions of the AIOs to the FTP.

Also created a BigClock-NoMSN version.

If you want a BigClock AIO, just DL the normal AIO then grab a BigClock-Auto of your choice.

Run the Full auto-installer and then the BigClock only one.

CMH, this data zip just changes the clock, right? Nothing else (besides the Hybrid TTS)?
