Worked, absolutely perfect, could not ask for a better hack. Cmh is my new hero. Thanks for your hard work!!! ![]()
peace out.
Amazing hack, well done... Much respect for putting this together CMH.... good job man...
FourG,Are you using my entire data.zip? It already has the software hack enabled and should not enter "separated safety mode" as long as you have the P-Brake wire grounded.
At any rate, I have added the lines to the file and will update the FTP with the new files as soon as I testdrive it.
69Bee,
you can try adjusting vSpeedcamAlertVolume=40 in common\ui\modelvariables.ui, but I believe the level is controlled under navi settings>sound settings> master volume.
Tha !alert3.wav itself is recorded at a very low level. It resides in the audio folder in data.zip. I am attaching a copy editted to nearly double the original volume.
Just unzip the wav and drop it into the audio folder in data.zip.
it will be included in the data.zip on the FTP within a few hours.
Yeah, I already have the volume bit set to 50 but I will substitute the "!alert3" file that you supplied, which, by the way, is greatly appreciated!
I can't thank you enough for all of the painstaking work you (and the other modders alike) have put forth!
I makes a rather mundane Navi system a bit more enjoyable ![]()
I reposted the !alert.zip at an even higher volume. For those that already DLed it, you may want to try this one instead.
All the files are being uploaded to the FTP right now, including a greatly improved SamanthaTTS voice.
No more ending with a "Turn Right?" She sounds sure of herself now. Most of the commands in her are now actually sound samples. Only road names are done in actual TTS. The file size is nearly 2MB due to this.
I am still working on getting her to read numbers properly. Like "Three-Oh-Nine" for 309, etc.
The voice is already included in the all-in-ones or available separately here:
ftp://avic:[email protected]/TTS
Best way to install the new voice alone is to drag it into MiTACAP\APL2\iGo\content\voice\ on your testmode SD card and it will auto-install when you boot from it.
I'm halfway to work this morning and my iPod quits playing Leo LaPorte's TWIT podcast and starts beeping. I'm thinking this is a system crash....
Somebody put a speed camera on my way to work and the Cmh package picked it up and the warning was sent to audible.
Really cool. On the way home I had it set to silent- still saw the icon and the warning message.
Very cool. Thanks again Cmh, IDT, Boris, Keeper, GTMatt, et al.
Just wondering, is there a way to make the clock like your old CMH file. Or atleast change it from the lime green color because I do not necessarly like that color.
With the new versions being uploaded, I would recommend all users except the headbangers to silence the beeps. The beeps are LOUD now and if you miss the polite speedcam voice, you can't miss the RUDE beeps.

The speed limit signs and turn restrictions occupy that space now. The color can be changed to whatever you like, though. find:
and change the "color=" to whatever HEX color you want from here: http://www.colorschemer.com/online.html
The green I chose matches the one used for Turn Distances shown above it.
If anyone has used the all-in-one on an F500, post your results!
I just DL the UnziptoSDcard.zip and when I tried to unzip and load onto my SD card I got tis error message: ! C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\UnzipToSDCard.zip: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged
What do you think that means?
It means I was still uploading the updated files to the FTP. Try now.
Filesize is just over 9MB for a data.zip and just over 64MB for an all-in-one. Upload is much slower than download even on a fast connection.
The new Samantha is pretty nice!
I noticed, however, that now when changing the voice volume slider bar in the master volume settings it used to say "Have a nice day-please drive carefully" now it says something to the effect of "take the next right-route 410-400..." something like that. ***I found It*** it's in the "info.ini" file of the new TTS file. Now I need to change it but the zip is coming up corrupt and I cannot edit
****
Is this how its supposed to be?
Also, I noticed that it will be sluggish on screen taps and it will spool the same spoken command about 3 times.
Otherwise great!
Thanx,
Bud
was wondering if your experiencing any bugs with my mods, i found a bug regarding route simulation, whenever i delete a route while in simulation the route info box and everything else stays in the nva screen even if the route is already deleted, it's fixed now but just wondering if you have that bug
I just installed the all-in-one mod, and now my maps don't work properly. Any time I try to enter a destination, and create a route, the unit resets. Same thing happens if I press the "go home" icon. HELP!!
cmh U did it again. Great mod and even made it easier with all in one. Wow! thanks for your dedication.

I haven't had any problems with her repeating herself or anything. If you rush the bootup and start adjusting volume settings before about 2 minutes in, it can act like that. same goes for even trying to adjust brightness. She is supposed to say those phrases when tested now and they can be changed in the .ini. I'm still working on her, and having her say those things makes it easier to see if I make progress.
As far as the corrupt zip file, I just downloaded the copy from TTS folder on the FTP and made some changes to the ini without unzipping it. It re-saved just fine. Are you using the latest 7zip?

I had caught that bug in your original file that I based this on. I put in some extra calls to sc-fullscreen as well as some direct calls to sc_hideri and sc_showri on button pushes to solve it.
There were also some calls to vsp_compass and spr_compass in browsemap.ui that can cause erros using the linear compass mod. Not sure if you caught those when you changed to the new compass.

Nobody else has reported anything like that. I would suggest you DL a fresh copy from the FTP and re-format the SD-card. Just like with the 2.0 upgrade, sometimes things don't copy properly the first time and it needs re-flashed. I do test each file I post on my own F90 before I upload them, but data transfer and unzip errors do occur. Which exact all-in-one did you DL and when? What unit is it going on?

This is a really killer mod. I just got my F90 a week ago and have been following this board since. Same thing happening here with the reboot in the NAV screens.

I reformatted the sd card, redownloaded and installed. Everything works great now!!!
THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!
Glad to hear it!

If it is a random reboot, it may be from a failed 2.0 update as well. Since your unit is new, it wouldn't surprise me. Try re-downloading and reinstalling just my update and if it persists, re-install the 2.0 upgrade from Pioneer's website.
Great mods!!!
I have been using yours for some time now with great success. I've even modded the image.res file to suit my tastes.
I do have q question regarding this latest version. If I do a straightforward copy from SD (using your config) to my F900 the unit starts no problem and works fine!!! However if I change the image.res the unit will stay in a reboot mode. Is something had coded or is image size mapped in this version?
Like I stated before I have had no previous problems.
Also using 7-zip I am unable to just add my altered images to your res file (while it's still zipped) . . .
any thoughts?
Thanks in advance - I usually can find my own answers, but this one seems to stump me.

Thanks for your great work. I downloaded the NoMSN-version and plugged the SD into my EU 2.001 version F900 but soon after powering up it says that the mapdbversions are different on the card and on the unit.
What to do?
Before doing any editting to image.res, rename it to image.7z. If you use the all-in-one, it will overwrite your image.res so you'll need a normal testmode SD to manually add my data.zip as I change it.
If you do unzip image.res to work on it, make sure that when you re-zip it it is in 7z format and only one folder in the root of it. i.e, When you open image.res you will only see the "image" folder.

What to do?
Testmode files are different on worldwide models. You will need the correct testmode file for your unit (download below), then it is just a matter of copying MapDBInfo.txt from the EU testmode into the MiTACAP\APL2\iGo\content\ folder of my all-in-one.
There are just too many possible combinations to post an all-in-one for every region.
Bear in mind, the bulk of the all-in-one file size is due to US 3D building files that will do you no good in Europe. They won't do any damage being on your unit, but also won't ever be used. The speedcam database is also US only. The file posted below gets unzipped and copied to APL2\iGo\CONTENT\speedcam\
