i think removing the bTripComputerWarned.set 1 at the end of the message would do the trick, i'll give it a try,

I guess it's a one time only message. It didn't show again after I removed it from the ui file and put it back in.

I was wondering why this thread is only three people.

i admit im not one of the 125 or so downloaders but im watching this thread closely it would do wonders for me for tracking my work / personal miles on my truck.

I'm not posting since i have nothing to add or help with (most of the post you guys have had with code would have been enough for me to declare you witches for practicing magic and burned for all i know) but im a silent well semi silent stalker waiting to talk full advantage of your hard work. With that being said i have a great idea... if this mod works out (god i hope so) it would be sweet if some one made it work with cmh928 mod and have it click over to this mod when you click the sat signal strength button (since i and im sure most non-tech guys never use this button).

I never would have posted a request, but figured id put it up there since i was trying to let you know that the silent majority does track and care about what your downing, but have nothing to contribute and dont want to add to the over flow of random point less post (this one included) that just delay and frustrate the "3 people" that post on this thread.

There's now been 186 downloads.

I just spent about 60 hours in the last week or so trying to improve on the trip computer. I'm no further along now than I was before those 60 or so hours. Talk about wasting time. sheesh. I'll give it a break for a week or two and try again.

Thanks, but Stanislavovich deserves most of the credit as the basis was from his zip file. See the New Nav Mod thread.

Regarding the trip computer stuff, yes.

Posted Jul 15, 2009 · 22:58 UTC#89

I'll test out first Yuris standalone, and then test yours out, I'll check the differences and make comments

I must say, your trip calc came along nicely, huge difference since we first talked about it a year ago.

Still can't get it to remember after a complete shutdown. It's fine in stand by mode when using the 500 as long as it's plugged in the house current before the battery dies. You can pretty much only use for one continuous trip though.

Posted Jul 15, 2009 · 23:29 UTC#91

it should be able to as long as the unit is connected to a current... maybe if you wired the unit into a hot wire it would keep the mem from clearing

I just use the cig lighter as it may used in one of 5 different cars.

Posted Jul 16, 2009 · 00:27 UTC#93

thats going to drain your battery and kill your alternator... hm, must be another way... I wonder how much charge it takes, I'm pretty sure its 5v for mem

Standby mode turns everything off and retains memory only as long as the nav battery allows. In standby, my unit can sit for about nine hours before draining it so far as to require a full boot.

The cars cig lighter has battery rundown protection and only will put out power for about 15 minutes after the ignition is off.

I'm pulling this off mediafire. There have been about 200 downloads between the two zips. I'm done trying to get the trip computer working better.

The backlash I get from answering questions is just not worth it anymore. I'll wait for 3.0 to get to my door before I delve into that.

Posted Jul 25, 2009 · 04:15 UTC#96

A shame you called it quits. Ive been out of the loop for a few weeks, but doesnt 3.0 have a tracklog memory improvement? Perhaps that may be of use in some way to retain data?

So what happened to the download?
