Don't worry we all get problems. I have tried the load 3 times. The 3rd time I got it working but had no navi setting or system setting. I tried to update to 3.01 to see if it would work and now my unit is resetting itself every few minutes... back to the drawing board.

hey just a question,

should i update WITH format or WITHOUT format if i have a few mods put on my V2 at the moment?

because i have read many people saying without the format worked for them, and others saying it did with the format, but i dont know which i should do because ive added about 2 or 3 mods since i got my unit a few weeks ago.

Is it that serious of a thing. All I did was ask a question and it was answered. I thought the purpose of this forum was to ask questions regardless of how simle the may be to others. I rearly post, ask question or anything on this forum. I normally just read and go from there. You may be well versed in this area, I if thats the case hats off to you. Its no need to cause someone not to want to visit the forum again because of comments like you are making.

If you don't want to read or answer a question, then DON'T!!! But there is no reason to be nasty! I, for one, would 100 times more rather see a question asked many times, than to read even 1 negative, put down response. The information and brains in this forum are so fantastic and I can't even begin to tell you how much I've learned. But if we ALL had the knowledge, they wouldn't be any reason for the forum, right????

also i see people with only 1 or 2 posts joint the forum within 1 day and asking a question what's already being discussed many times and could easily being found if they just searched the forum

the torrent link in the first post doesnt work

Hello... thanks to everyone for their input and advice on this new update.

I did the update as directed and after completion, my navi goes black after my logo pops up. Any ideas on why this is happening? I have a f700

Also, did I need to replace the apl2 data file if I did a hard bypass? I'm not sure if I needed to but that's what the directions said. Will this affect my navi at all?

And what torrent software do you use?

Must be, asI just opened up the torrent link and my torrent software started right up. Sounds like your computre is trying to view the actual torrent link file or something strange. Maybe try saving the torrent link and opening it with your utorrent?

can sombody tell me what is the diffrent between x910 and f910 and f900 this can help me to update!

i have the f900 updated to 3.00030 but what to update to 3.1 but when i put in the original pioneer update f710/910 in it it wont update to 3.1 the system starts compleet up! what do i rong??..

i have update from 2.7 to 3.0003 whit the x910 map from torrent and put in the Apl 2 from Eu so card is nou 2.0004 so thats oke i only whant to update to 3.1

for those of you who are having problems like i did with the torrent link,

right click the torrent link and select save link as or save target as, it will then option you to download the damn torrent so you can fire it up with your torrent client. dammit. i got it working now

Right, glad you found the solution. Seems that uTorrent was not configured correctly to handle .torrent files from a browser...

I upgraded my F700BT with only one issue, trying to figure a way to hold all the buttons down at same time and then release once I turn car on (ignition key is on left of steering wheel)

But overcame that problem and upgraded to 3.0 then 3.01 and all is find and fast.

Question:

As I have already bought but not received the "Official F-Series" 3.0 upgrade, would there be any reason to upgrade (if system even allows)?

I could successfully able to upgrade my F900BT with 3.0.....

while upgrading when i was copying FlaskDisk dump to my unit's FlaskDisk it said insufficient space then i had to delete some of maps to reduce the size.... but i want to add all maps what do i do!!!

does anyone had this issue and what was the solution!!!

I did this download and everything is working. My unit says 3.00300.

My problem is that when i went to pioneer website to try to download the 3.1 firmware, when i put the SD card containing the new LPEU080 folder it would not automatically recognize it and start the update process.

Any ideas or suggestions?

To all those that have done the update successfully, has it helped bluetooth at all? Bluetooth is pretty laggy now after a month of owning it. Calls dont always end as quick as the phones hang up. Hangup/Pickup buttons dont show. etc. Wondering if this is just my phone, the unit, a mix of both, and if 3.0 does anything to help it, if possible.

i tried everything...followed the instructions down to the T many times...this sucks cause now I have to take it in to get fixed which will be over a 100.00...i guess i shouldnt have been so cheap and bought the update even though it should be for free...does anyone know how to load the old firmware that you get from the pioneer site without getting errors???

Hey dude... I had the same problem as you and now I got the update to work. The first time around, I thought I followed the directions but realized that I misunderstood them a little bit.

In step 11, I deleted everything inside the My Flash Disk Drive. Then I went to the SD card... Opened the My Flash Disk folder... Selected All from Edit, then copied the contents. I went back to the My Flash Disk Drive and pasted the contents there.

My mistake on the first attempt was that I copied the actual folder and just pasted the folder into the My Flash Disk Drive. I hope you try this and see if it helps!

HTC Mogul. HTC's have been pretty messy with the avic. no clue about any fixes though. I guess a PM would be appreciated in case someone goes off about us posting in the wrong section.

I also have to check the bluetooth updates on the pioneer site but doubt they'd help much.
