I installed 3.0 and also the speed/map mod. All of the map mods are awesome, mute voice, 6 shortcuts, etc. I have the break wire grounded, but when I get up to 10mph DVD locks out status watching while driving is prohibited, as well as improper connection of brake wire detected. I know the mod is in correctly, since the NAV mods work fine. I also validate that the brake speed in the .ini file is set to 256.0 I have also seen multiple other thread with the same problem without a fix? Any ideas? I did not ground the mute wire on the harness. I have a 900bt.

Any ideas gladly accepted. Also have an issue with no name showing up when I receive a call, only the number. I tried adding a 1 in front of the number, but then it displays the 1 in front of the number, still no name? Does anyone know if you can manually add/remove contacts from test mode since there is no way to add/edit contacts, and you have to install all contacts into the AVIC.

I figured out the problem with my iPhone callerid, and options to add/remove contacts that I want only on my AVIC.

See my post for iPhone solution.

First time doing anything like this and all went well. Everything was done as 1st post said, no problems at all. Even updated to the new 3.1 after and that was smooth as well. Can't believe how much faster everything is, and the new map is awesome. Thanks OP.

Look for the post where there are 3 or 4 gps.para files that need to be deleted. I did this for a friend and it stopped him from having to send it back to Pioneer.

After walking through all the steps, everything looks to be ok but the system constantly reboots every 5 minutes. I hear the new button sounds, and can check the system info and it shows I am running 3.0 firmware. But the "System Startup" message never goes away, and the whole unit reboots after 5 minutes.

I am thinking it is the WinCE update. When booting into testmode, and checking the WinCE version, it shows that it is 5.0. I thought I read here (somewhere??) that it should be 6.x. I grabbed all the files from page one in this thread, and didn't get any errors at any stage. I am running a F900BT. Any help would be much appriciated!

Thanks

I had the same issue, but it occured with pioneer 3.01 update. Tried three times to no avail. The system rebooted after 5 minutes. I coud use radio and could see top menu and most of the selections. Got new sounds etc. Just not the map screen.

I fixed it by using completly different SD card. I also unzipped the files on Windows Vista instead of using my MacBook.THATS ALL.

I have to add that upgrading to 3.0 was NOT an issue using this particular SD card and extracting files on the MacBook. and the 3.0 was over 1.5 GB. GO FIGURE!

For those of you who are still trying to fix this - I had the same problem on a F90BT. I followed his suggestion and used windows/winrar to unzip my files, and overwrote the files, but it still didn't work. I tried to delete the gpspara files, but that didn't work either. What did work for me was to use windows/winrar, then delete all the files in myflashdrive. I then put in the new 3.0 files in, and after i rebooted, it worked fine! So my advice would be to use windows/winrar, and make sure to delete all the files in myflashdrive first, then paste in the new ones. Hope this helps!

ok when I get to this step where do I get the apl2\igo file? I can't find one on my flash disk I didn't find it in the downloads from the first page HELP please.

Once testmode boots, open explorer and copy the contents of the flash dump to the "My Flash Disk" Drive.

(Should take about 20min even though at first it says like 140min)

Step 12: Copy the Data file from the SD card and replace the one in "My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo" (Soft Bypass)

is there a torrent out for 3.0?

I have the 700bt model.

Ditto, all posted links to 3.0 are dead. I know its a huge file, but is anyone able to upload to share please?

Posted Oct 15, 2009 · 22:03 UTC#511

I'm stuck too. Unless you were here to grab and run, no one is seeding this anymore.

I have a high speed FTP, is there anyone who could upload it to me so I can create a new torrent and seed it again? If you can, please PM me!

Thanks!!!!

Has the startup/bootup of this unit improved since the 3.0 update? If so, how long does boot up take?

Posted Oct 19, 2009 · 04:27 UTC#513

get free copy of bittorrent installed then open that link. It will start downloading. It took me awhile until I found a post about it. So I am downloading it and gonna try updating to 3.0 in the morning.

Go into your Audio Settings, click on 'VR Catalogue Mode' and shut it off.

Hello all!

First of all, thank you very much to everyone for sharing their expertise and experiences. This made things pretty smooth. All in all, this update was a success with my unit (AVIC-F7010BT). I have experienced some of the problems that I see commonly reported here, so I will describe how things went for me...

My unit was recently upgraded to 2.006 (I hope i have the right number of decimal places there) but I had never modded it and I hadn't done anything unofficial with any hack or mod. So I followed the instructions verbatim. When I rebooted, however, I had the system startup message that wouldn't go away. And like so many others, the unit would reboot. This would happen over and over again.

It might be interesting to note that I opened the archives with my Macbook pro. I saw a few posts where this was a concern, and I can add my anecdotal evidence that this may be an issue. I also saw that people have suggested removing everything from MyFlashDisk on the head unit. So, not wanting to have to try everything in "one at a time" fashion, I decided to use Windows to extract the files onto the SD card, and when I copied the files from the dump over the the AVIC-F7010BT, I made sure to delete the MyFlashDisk files first. Luckily, even though I don't have any dedicated Windows machines at home, I have Windows installed in a virtual machine (VMware Fusion).

The conclusion: either extracting and copying the files in Windows, or removing all of the MyFlashDisk files prior to copying (or both of these things) fixed my problem. Now the unit starts up normally and it does not reset after a few minutes.

Please let me know if you have any other questions about my experience with the upgrade. I think I have given you all of the relevant information, but maybe I have missed something that you might be interested in. Anyway, I hope this helps someone else.

Just wanted to post up and say I had 0 problems installing this update, 0 problems upgrading to 3.01 and 0 problems installing IDT v3.0 final. Worked absolutely perfect.

Yes it's still available. I seeded it for over 2 days. Not one person connected to download.
