Here is everything you need in order to complete the upgrade as outlined in the original post, but with only 1 SD Card. I just recently picked up a F700BT that I updated this afternoon and love it...now I'm off to find some good mods =D

These files include the X Series WINCE Upgrade, Testmode 2.3 and the Backup Files/Maps.

[edit]In Step 11, please copy the contents of the "My Flash Disk" folder on the SD Card to the My Flash Disk Drive on the AVIC Unit.

 

I've had 2 people contact me regarding issues, they read that item literally and copied the entire contents of the SD Card to their AVIC which doesn't work[/edit]

I think this should work. I haven't tested it as I just got a hold of the new maps and a hack and don't want to screw anything up. Hope this helps

Hi guys, followed this thread about 2 years ago when I first had my f900bt and successfully updated my unit. It was a great how to, and has served me well. So thanks to the OP for explaining and packaging everything needed back then.

But my unit has become laggy and corrupted and everything now seems outdated. I think it needs a refresh. Its a UK f900bt updated only with original info and files from this thread.

But although I still see lots of mods and 'updates' on elsewhere in different threads and posts for different regions I'm more confused to what is an update now in this thread or are they just a repeats of original mods. Hope that makes sense.

Is the original info in this thread still relevant to updating with latest maps and firmware March 2012 ?

Has anyone pulled latest bits & pieces in to one how to again ?

Sorry for noob question but its been a while and there's now too much to get head around.

A very important topic. Its unfortunate i had to go to page 61 before i could find a link that may fix my start up! MAYBE!. can an admin clean up this important sticky

New to the forum but... The 900bt unit in the van I recently purchased works fine when the van is not moving but when I travel more than 10 mph, it will reset while driving. Is this the same reset problems everyone else is experiencing? Will 3.0 remedy the issue? When I click on the links above, I receive a an error stating the site cannot be found.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, this is awesome but I need the steps again to get it all correctly uploaded. Can you help? The download you gave us has two folders and two other files, a .win and a .cks

I think the process is something like:

* get into testmode

* update windows CE from the flash

* copy all the files from the "copy contents onto my flash" folder into...well, I'm not exactly sure if I need all the files there? And where do I put them? And what about the .win and .cks files? Do I need to do anything with those specifically or will they automatically be accessed when i get into testmode?
