I can only suggest you try finding the Pioneer SW-330 update, although I had no luck googling it. Fk knows why Pioneer EU aint got it there any more, just shows how much they value us as customers........

Also try a search on the Troubleshooting forum, you may get a result.

Yes, I tried both steps. I have a US unit and tried to update to 330 but during the update, the device stops the update and generates an error message.

I solved my problem, but I don't know, if it's worth it. I changed my SYS.txt to UC again. Before, I changed to EW in order to use the US unit with a european cradle, to be able to receive TMC data.

Gonna play around with it a little bit now.

Thanks, but the update is not the problem. It won't work, when device is set to EW, no matter what....at least for now.

It's like in the thread you posted. Either TMC or BT.

i come from Europe and also interested to the Links. I have an F500BT and try a lot out of this Forum, but 3.0 didn´t work. Yesterday my 500 damaged. No Boot anyway, also Testmode. I have boot the wince from SD in the Service Menü, after that i could reinstall the Original-Pioneer Update 200700.., after that i could boot in Testmode and reinstall the Original APL´s and so on, also my Skin, based on 2.0.

Has anybody Run 3.0 on 500er EU-Version? Is it possible, that anybody can say exactly what is to do? It is confused with all the different Thread´s....

Is it possible that the Update not work because i have loaded a Skin? Must I update from Original-Pioneer?

What I want to do is for Example load the Gurjon Skin or Navteq Maps, 3D Cars and so on.....

That zip file can't be wince. It is only 18mb. You would think it would be larger unless this only updates wince. Who is going to try this out first.

Well I upgraded th wince 6.5.0.6 and all went ok but did not notice any difference. Anyone know a way to check what version installed. Maybe something in testmode. Where does wince reside on the f500bt.

When and if you use this, will you loose everything on the "My Flash Disk" or somthing?

And how does the wince image get applied?

Just read everything in this thread. Yes you lose everything on gps. You need to make a backup first. Not hard to do at all. Can't really mess it up. Easy fix if you do. I have been playing with it for a week now. I think I got it just the way I want it now. I do find now that I have only 7.5 mb left on gps. I did not check to see just how much I had before. Hope someone can check on theirs to see how much room they have.

But after update with the files download from russian site, i still have firmware 2.007000. There must be some mistake. Help me please

You need to upgrade APL folder. Once you replace APL folder from x910bt dump, you will have updated firmware information. Also, you could upgrade APL folder to one from EU's firmware version 3.020200.
