Second, i know this is probably a noob question and i might get flamed, but what do you do to use the different background you included in the newest revision and is there something special to change in order to use the big moon on the nighttime map?

The background and the NAV scheme with the full moon are in the IDT 2.0 Nav download on the first pagem Make sure that you install all the files, including the schemes folder which goes into your APL2/iGo/CONTENT folder. The full moon theme is a scheme called night_sky2. I have put all my NAV themes on IDT's Nav mod as I have used most of the Nav mods out there and I find his is the most feature rich mod out there. I have included his mod to accept DPHursts schemes which are the best schemes, so you have the best of both worlds

i played around with it before class and figured that it was a stupid question. I figured out how to change it, the only problem i ran into was changing the day background to autumn day background cause igo to shut down. anyone else have this problem or know why it may have done it?

Wow, I just purchased & updated to 3.0, then to IDT's skin, then the new Red theme from here. WOW, insane!!! Best upgrade/mod todate by far!!!

FYI, if you deviate from Pioneer Blue Day/Night themes, the IDT layout messes up a bit. But regardless the red theme stays, and is awesome!!!

Glad you like it! Did you put in my modded IDT scheme to take advantage fo the RED THEME? It is the second download on the first page. The IDT layout should not mess up, and it is setup to accept some new schemes by DPHurst

no, those are the same ones that i am using and they are fine. are you sure that you have MY DATA.zip file installed? I altered IDT's 2 DATA.zip file, not only to change color, but also to accept new schemes. Make sure that the DATA.ZIP file has the ui_igo8 folder in it. It is the skynight_2 that has the moon, i am pretty sure that night 2 has the cloudy sky

The image.res file gets put in the 'My Flash Disk/APL' folder. I have a blue theme and a green theme desiged as well. just do a search

You have to unzip the file first.

Ok... unzip it and then what? Do i delete the Image.res?

Replace the old image file with the new one. Read the FAQ's to threads on how to mod your unit.

Remember to backup your unit first.

I have backed it up and I have read faq's. I just want to get things straight before I mess things up. I download that image.rar file and saved it as a .res because that was the type of file I was replacing. It made sense to me but I after doing so it stays the splash page and does not load up. I thoguht with the mods you didnt have to unzip anything it was just download and tranfser? Im new and eager to learn.
