Would anyone be able to confirm if the hack for the F900BT would also work on a X910BT unit from US?

THinking of buying this and running the hacks to load Australian maps onto it.

As far as I know the x910bt runs the same software and maps.

Do a search to confirm that

In that case you only need to run the latest map update, the installer will do everything for you

I will be installing the unit myself, where can i get the instructions and downloads to apply the changes needed to run the US unit in OZ, also where can i download the OZ maps and V3 update.

You will find the V3 firmware update as well as the australian map update, each of the topics contain instructions

Hi my US model is working with the R17 maps and the v3 update but do i need to change the sys.txt file? i have read the threads but i am unsure exactly which part i need to change in it? someone said to change the file back to UC can you please tell me what this means?

HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just brought a f90bt us model off ebay, alhough i cannot get it to boot to windows so i can put the aus maps on. i followed the instruction in the 1st page in the oz update thread, first i got the firmware Https://www.pioneer.com.au/avicf900btDownload.aspx and installed this to my avic from my sd it worked fine. next i put the files i extracted from

http://www.4shared.com/file/95577170/2d ... part3.html it gave me the 5 files mitacap,backup, testmode, readme, update. i put these on my sd card. i put it in the sd slot, turn the car on and it just keeps going in to the main screen and doing nothing, i tried several times, and didnt work. then i restored my avic back 2 original factory settings hoping maybe that was a problem, and tryed to boot with the sd card and it just went straight to the main screen again. i have no clue as to what im doing wrong. is all i want my system to do is function with the gps music and all other standard features. could somebody body please tell me what i am doing wrong? or if any1 has enough time maybe a detailed message on how to get the system functioning correctly like as if i purchased it from a shop in au.

i had the same issue where i could not load testmode when i first got the unit. make sure you have the latest testmode as i found the one wit mitacap didnt work for me either. hope this helps.

The one with the mitacap older is for the V2 firmware. If you have the v3 firmware you will need to use testmode v3
