Ok I'm sold on this unit but I'd like to find the cheapest place to get one of these. You guys have any suggestions for getting one of these at the cheapest price possible? Think I could find it for sub $1k?

Probably but just keep in mind with cheap comes risk and likely no warranty.

Ok The fact that every Pioneer unit you've owned has had an issue doesn't give me much confidence....

Another thing that is giving me second thoughts is the fact that there is not a way to get into test mode yet so there's really no hacking or modding that can be done for this. I was draw to the Pioneer series after initially seeing the F series and how moddable it was and then I waited because I knew the X series was going to be released... Now before I'm about to buy, I take a look at the Z series and some videos that have really sold me... So you guys are happy with your z110BT and wouldn't trade it off for any other unit?

If that is true then consider yourself lucky. Pioneer states that they only honor the MF warranty if it is purchased from an authorized dealer or reseller. They deny warranty claims all the time to people that purchased from unauthorized dealers.

That only makes sense if all the units you buy are from questionable sources which is exactly why I caution buying "cheap". A lot of the unauthorized dealers often sell refurbs as new units or will sell a new unit to you knowing that the warranty is already void because they are not a dealer. There is almost always a price for buying "cheap" As for all of his units being defective, that is certainly the exception and I wouldn't worry about it. Nearly all of the people that own 110's on this forum seem to be very happy with our units.

So what's the cheapest authorized dealer I can find?

Right now I believe its Car Toys through Amazon. Also you might want to try a Google search.

I got mine from a authorized dealer for $949 plus the rebate so after rebate $750.

I am not sure if this is something he will do every time. From his email he made it sound like the price match he did usually wouldn't be honored. With that said I do not want to spam his website so he doesn't get nail with a bunch of people asking for it. I'll tell you this and you can do the homework!

It's a authorized online dealer that has a price match form you can fill out online. I used newegg's pricing on this to match.

i was debating doing the rebate and buying new..but when a used one popped up on ebay for $600 shipped after MS cashback i couldnt resist

I paid for $1095 for mine from an authorized Pioneer dealer with a receipt. I myself would not be able to resist that price as well. The thing I would worry about is if that unit had a problem, Pioneer will charge a grip for repair.

I got mine through Amazon (order fulfilled by AudioOnline) delivered to my door for under $900. This was mid December - looks like they can had on Amazon for about $50 more right now.

I saw one on ebay tonight for $690 new (even though the store was called "BestUSEDITEMS")buy it now, from the same dealer who had it on Amazon.com the previous night for $600 used. Wasn't sure about this one..but they went really fast.

I have one on the way from CarToys.com in which the price matched $999.99 when I simply just called them and told them that I saw it online for $999.99 from http://www.caraudioxperts.com/product_i ... ts_id=7677 . I gave them my email address. THey sent me the coupon code. and with the bing.com feature and chose cartoys.com, and received 5% off, it totaled out to about $800---including $84 tax, $24 shipping, and $200 rebate. I will just stay with the deal I received with this authorized purchase even though the ebay sales are looking appealing.

Same here Cartoys matched an Amazon price and got it to 999. Mine should be here Friday. I was going to get it from 6ave.com but when I went to order they were out of stock even after price matching a lower price of like 925. So if you hold of for them to get some back in stock they will do a cheaper price than Cartoys.

This is true, but I started out at 6ave.com with a purchase of $924 but they sent me a dud...aka the last item on the shelf...so I went with cartoys. It is great that you received a reliable working Z110bt from 6ave. I tried to call them today to get more information on why they sent me an irreparable unit or why they are backordered for another month but I hung up after being on hold for 30+ minutes...Cheers to you, for you received a great deal.

Are you sure you get the $200 rebate when they price match like that? One of the stipulations for the pioneer rebate says that it cannot be used with other discount pricing or promotions. I'd buy it right now if I know I'm going to get the rebate for sure.

I just bought it, and My Al & Eds bill says "Instant Price-Match Rebate". Is that ok?

I'm in the same boat on the instant price match rebate for two of these units. With $400 outstanding I sure hope these go through. There was nothing on the web site about the MIR not being valid if there was a price match.
