Yes all of you are good to go.

I was worried because the rebate form states that it cannot be combined with any rebates or discounts, but the receipt shows "coupon savings". I called the rebate hot-line number and they said it would be fine for the rebate!

The same has also been confirmed by al-eds sales guys as well.

How about the instant price match rebate purchases?

I would call al-eds.com and check on the instant price match rebate. I don't think they should have a problem generating another invoice for the same date saying coupon code applied instead of instant price match rebate.

FYI, your order total has to be over $900 for the pio530 coupon to work. I tried just ordering the head unit alone for $869.99 and the system said my order total was not high enough to use the coupon. I added the ipod cable and got my order total to $919.98 and the coupon code worked just fine. I had a friend order me a third one on Friday for the wife's jetta.

I spoke to the sales person at al-eds.com, she told me there should be no problem submitting the MIR with the "instant price match rebate" on the receipt. I sent one in last week, so we'll see.

I just ordered mine from Cartoys (authorized dealer), paid 891, and it comes with the 200 rebate, so 691 total sweet deal

Thanks

good deal but still can't beat the al-eds.com deal at 885 - 200 MIR = 685 using the couponcode pio515.

That's basically what I did except I price matched Amazon.com when they had it for really low. I got this head unit for the same amount I paid for a used D2 several years ago.

I saw the Z110BT marked down to $806 at my local Fry's Electronics last week. By the time I would get raped the 8.1% sales tax it would've been $871 out the door. They were sold out down to the well abused floor model.

No longer available from al-eds. Who will cartoys PM to in order to get the $891 price?

Posted Apr 27, 2010 · 17:27 UTC#37

Just ordered mine from Cartoys for $949.99 shipped ground. Still not a bad deal and I'm hoping it will be upgradeable into a Z120 with minimal cost...

i just ordered mine yesterday from them for the same

Does anyone know if you buy a unit from frys electronics if you can still get the MIR? The guy at the store told me no, but I would think a company that big would be an authorized dealer.

Posted Apr 28, 2010 · 05:29 UTC#40

No, Fry's is not an authorized dealer.

Seeing as how those chumps work on commission, though, I'm surprised he didn't say yes.

I may still try and talk them down, if i can get them to take off 15% for it being a display i may just get it. Or does that mean i wont have a warranty either, i may have to go with car toys and wait for the rebate

Posted Apr 28, 2010 · 06:25 UTC#42

You DEFINITELY won't have a warranty if you're trying to get a display model but no, it wouldn't have a warranty regardless.

Okay thanks thats what i needed to know =]

Walked into fry's today just to see what their price was as I couldn't find it at their site online and the car audio department wouldn't pick up the line... Anyway, they had 1 floor model left marked down to 683.99!!!

Seems to be in perfect condition so I scooped it up. Real excited here, was expecting to have to order online and wait for shipping and all that and then the 200 rebate... but nope! Getting it installed tomorrow!

(cant wait to update from my D2!!!)

Did you get it from the frys in phoenix? I was going to buy that one last night until it took them 15 mins to get it turned on lol

That's not necessarily the unit. The guys at Fry's couldn't find their way out of a f*$%ing phone booth with a map and a Boy Scout to help.

Yes, thats true, but it also (atleast at this frys) has no accessories, i figured by the time i got no warranty, bought a gps antenna, and i think u have to a mic (not sure though) and 8% tax that it was just easier to go with cartoys. Im kicking myself for not jumping on the al-eds still haha.

Posted May 02, 2010 · 03:34 UTC#48

A mic isn't required :)

I hear ya on the 8% tax though, ugh.

Anyway, the only reason you'd need the mic if you're want to use the VR or make bluetooth calls.

The GPS antenna... well you kinda need that

Nope, I'm in Houston, got it from the frys there. Got installed yesterday, works perfectly, (also came with all cables... other than the ipod adapter)
