-added a ROAD SIGN settings page for speedlimit sign, sign post, turn restriction etc

-currently this has the subaru impreza rally car as the default 3D car

to change the 3D arrow to a car model

download the 3DCars.rar file on the download link provided and extract it

and you have to edit the sys.txt

change the current values of this

3dcarsizemin=2500 
3dcarsizemax=5000 
3dcarsizemul=15000 

to this

3dcarsizemin=5000 
3dcarsizemax=8000 
3dcarsizemul=30000 

and add this part to the [3D] section

 
car_day=hot_rod_red.mdl  
car_night=hot_rod_red.mdl
ghost_day=hot_rod_red.mdl
ghost_night=hot_rod_red.mdl

you now have to transfer the desired carmodel and tex file to the gfx folder in the data.zip and change the names of the above code to your selected car model name, i haven't tested every car model out as i already like the hot_rod car, but it's just a trial and error thing

for speed camera

you have to search for speed camera text file for your area,

there are 2 versions of this mod, 1 for standard (regular, MSN and TMC) and 1 for alternate (regular, MSN and TMC)

the reason i created two for each is because of the unit setting varying from different locations (setting a speed camera), so if the first one doesn't work for you then use the one with the alternate at the end of the filename

INSTALLATION: Please read carefully

1) first off this is not an auto installer, download your desired zip (regular or alternate)

2) extract files and transfer all files to a freshly formatted SD card (for F500 users, you have to edit the device type part first to reflect the device type of the F500 before transfering it to the SD)

3) this already has testmode file so no need to add anything else

4) insert SD to unit,

5) boot up unit

***if this is your first time,PLEASE BACK UP YOUR FILES

6) copy DATA.ZIP and SYS.TXT (from standard, MSN or EU folder),EXTENSION folder and DS-DIGI file to MYFLASHDISKAPL2IGO

7) go to MYFLASHDISKAPL2IGOCONTENT and create a new folder and name it as map_nt and copy basemap.fbl from map folder to map_nt folder, this is where you're going to place your navteq maps

to add a different scheme, add the contents of scheme folder to MYFLASHDISKAPL2IGOCONTENTSCHEME

**IT'S MANDATORY TO DELETE THE SAVE FILES, it's in My Flash DiskUSERUserDataiGosave, everything should be deleted

9) once done copying turn off the unit, remove sd card and then turn unit on,

NOTE to users, some users use gallons so here's instructions for it,

this is assuming that your in testmode

1) go to MYFLASHDISKAPL2IGOExtensionFuelcalc and delete the contents,

2) copy the contents of the zip to that folder,

3) DELETE THE SAVE FILES, it's in My Flash DiskUSERUserDataiGosave, everything should be deleted

for people who want to use custom branding.zip to delete kml.icon from data.zip (DATA.zipui_pioneericonspoikml.icon). (thanks to jezikk for pointing it out)

Got it working. Everything looks good, but is there a way to keep the navi settings button when there is a destination? It changes to mute/unmute button and I'd rather be able to go to navi settings to change voice volume if needed. Maybe on long hold, it could open up settings? Thanks.

Hmmm, one thing that has me confused, why is there an info button in reg mode if it is only supposed to work in Nav mode. Does the split screen work in reg mode now? or is this just a button that is useless until you hit Nav mode

it's just a dummy button when not navigating, split screen will only will only work when navigating

IDT, I have quick question how to add house numbers to the main view, while you are not in the navi mode.

I'd like to have it on the view like Your firs screen in this treat.

When I go to info screen (split screen) i see numbers but not on the other view.

Ok so maybe the sd card setup isn't ready....So how do I set my folders as far as Map ,Buildings , POI and DEM for Map changer . I remember making the map_nt folder... does all of it go in there ??? please let me know I am hitting the road in a couple hours and would to see it working...thanks

you're asking a bit too much and for that i'll be charging you $$$$ , here's what you'll need,

hacked ezrider <---for the unit to accept different maps

newer maps <------search the thread for download links

building files <-----ussually bundled with map downloads

licenses <-----------search the forum for licenses

the unit has already poi and DEM files,

hacked exrider goes to myflashdisk\apl2\igo

maps goes to myflashdisk\apl2\iGO\content\map

buildings goes to myflashdisk\apl2\igo\content\buildings

license goes to myflashdisk\apl2\igo\content\license,

BE SURE YOU BAKC UP ALL YOUR FILES,

I was originally wanting to run it all off the sd card but I couldn't find any info for the right paths in sys.txt to do that ..not sure if I had to make folders and blah blah.... If I have the paths for the changer whether its SD card or avic flash ... I can prob figure it out. would rather have the right info then loading 2.0 back in it tonight.....lol

I have one bug to report and I'm wondering if it's happening to others. While on the nav screen, voice prompt will not work. I press the big silver button and it mutes if music is playing for about a second, but then the music comes back on without letting me giving the unit a command.

this is not a bug, if you'll check the features in page 1 it states there that for VR to work you have to press the av button first, ones the AV source button appears VR will work when the knob is pressed,

I put the code above + added to visiblemodel &!has.route and it's working quit well. However, in some places house numbers are not showing but when I click on the map (left and right side of the road) I see the correct numbers. Thx IDT.

I setup the MAP_NT folder and put the basemap in just like the instructions stated. Everything was working great and I liked it.

Then I thought I would just take a look at these navtec maps, it said to let it restart and that is all it does now. It boots up to the big three Icons with the system starting up screen laid out across it and stays there for a few minutes, the it shut down and does the same stuck start up again & repeats.

Please help I do not really care about the navtec maps but I would like to have the regular parts working again.

Is there a start up file somewhere that needs to be edited to tell it to use the teleatlas maps?

i think the problem is you transferred the basemap.fbl fo the map_nt folder, the thing is you have to make a copy of the basemap file and put the copy to the navteq folder and nnot transfer it, i would suggest is to do that and delte the contents of the save folder, let me know how it goes
