No I gave it to the maintenance guy at my job and told him I needed to replicate the green clip and he pieced it together for me. Then crimped the wire in and now I have a signal. A strong one. Ha. So i guess, now that I think about it, we really DID play Frankinstien on my unit!

If you have time, this is really not hard to learn the scripting language used by iGo. In the meantime, enjoy what others have offered!

Hey, I just checked out Diaftia's Hybrid mods V3.4 update a lot of the features described in there sounded like something I want. (Brace yourselves, NOOB question coming) Very sorry if this is a dumb question but, do I already have those features in this All in One mod Abb, and if not would downloding and installing that completely switch me from yours to that one ( I like the look and feel of this one better, but want all the features and fixes described in that one)? Sorry again everyone if this is a dumb question, but please explain anyway.

Every mod has its own particularities, so you would have to experiment yourself to find out. If all mods offer the same features, then it would be boring to just have a different interface.

You are correct about the navigation part of the mod. But if you use Abb's IMAGE.RES in the \My Flash Disk\APL folder, then the Audio/Video part's Chrome look will remain accessible!

Ha. Sorry about that Chuck, no offense intended (to anyone) I haven't seen yours yet but I'm goin to check it out right now.

Ok, I think I'm starting to get the hang of this. First, Chuck your right, your mod is awesome. Sleek and Sexy, perfect for what I'm lookin for so far. And the instruction were very easy to follow and understand (IMHO). Couple questions tho, I was running firmware 3.02 so did I need to load into testmode to do this? I only ask because I noticed my top menu screen ( destination, contacts, av ) hasn't changed, it's the same one I already had, and I noticed some boxes on some of the nav menus have little x's in the bottom left corners. Did I do something wrong?

Well I'm just 1 noob, but I would like to say to you Chuck, and Abb, and all of the rest of the modders on her that I personally appreciate ALL you guys efforts and hope that you never give up on this forum!

Almost every page has troubleshooting questions from hell and they are mostly not even directed at the mod itself, but through installation problems. I was thinking 'Alex, what have you gotten yourself into?'. I dont have the time to troubleshoot like that, and reading through Diaftias mod, EVERY DAY there is someone needing help, or something. I am extremely busy with my work right now where I am away for long periods of time, and I do not have time to troubleshoot and it would not be fair to put something up and not being there to support it. This IS, in my opinion, my best mod yet with new features and a much better graphical interface. I was thinking about sending V5 to all those that have donated as I have them in my friends list and I feel that I owe it to them.

If you're concerned about install problems, just release it how you normally would, tell us how to install and then leave us to it. I've been thinking about making an installer program that could be used with the different Mods out there.

No, that is not the problem. It is just that a lot of people cannot follow directions. I had very precise directions in my V4 mod and people still did not follow them to a 'T' and then had problems. My job has just gotten twice as busy and I just dont have the time to troubleshoot.

Well that's really unfortunate!

Abb, my point of view is that when you share your works with the rest of the community, you provide a favor to all who want to try it out, and if they can't follow the correct instructions correctly, that is their own problems and you are in no way obligated to support them, but only if you want to and of course, have time to do so, just like the rest of us. If that is too complicated for them, maybe this mod is not for them, so they will decide to switch to other mods if they want to.

This been said, even though I don't use your mod but my own one, I feel that it is better to put it up online for the general community instead of to those who made donations. Even this is not the goal (we are not working for money here in this forum, right??? ), more donations will eventually come to your PayPal.

Please reconsider!
