With the same principle, you might want to play with the color of the following two lines under ui_Title, one for foreground text color and one for background:

Hello, great to see you stick with your mod. I wonder if I may ask a couple of noob questions.

I updated mine to 3 about a year+ ago, but it has become corrupted and laggy. I dont know what is the matter so I want to do a complete fresh update.

I have the F900bt (with black knob) so regardless what is on it now I would like to use your your mod since I like the look of primo and agree that I prefer smartzoom, it is essential near busy junctions (and I don't want to see the sky). I do like chrome better though.

It is a long time since I flashed mine so a little confusing to see so many options, but I just want to wipe it and have a good clean install with the latest wince (non buggy)

Is this a good idea or not. I have all backups from my last old install, inc old maps.

I am in the UK and use tmc

Hi, I dont' think that you need to reflash the WinCE as the buggy problem doesn't have anything to do with the ROM based original Windows CE. What I suggest is to delete the whole "My Flash Disk" then restore from the stock backup, completely, at this point you should have the originally delivered iGo8 RUNNING perfect (try it first), without any other modded stucks, and from here you can then follow instructions of post 1 of this thread to embedded my mod.

Reading your notes again, I'm concerned about the 'sound' issue. Has this been resolved yet.? Imagine it's a real pain.

The sound issue is with Primo 2.0, not with my mod. I think it is still the issue (please see ryar's thread regarding AVICnet).

You can only delete MFD in Test Mode, through Explorer.

I've been reading up on the available mods while I await my F900bt - could anyone explain the sound issue with Primo 2.0 ?

The notes say that sound only works if an SD with MP3's is inserted before starting Primo.

I may be sounding slightly thick here, but as my F900 is yet to arrive I'm a little unclear - AFAIK the SD slot in the front of the unit holds the maps?

I've got a 32GB card already, which I'm going to have a bunch of MP3's on anyway (and the maps if that's where they live), so does this mean sound will just work? or do you have to be using the SD card as an audio source (ie. actually playing the MP3's) for sound to work?

Your maps are installed on your flash disc,not on your SD card.The sound issue with Primo 2 is a bit of a pain and I hoped someone had cracked it by now!You can use Primo 1 with any sound source but I don't think it's as good as P2.

Does anyone have the igo icon that shows up in the top menu after igo is launched? I have searched all of chuck88's files but have not been able to find it. If someone could upload it for me that would be great. Also is it possible to bypass or get rid of the stock igo completely? I have to stay still until primo starts up to get a gps fix. It is driving me Crazy. I have been going through ryar's thread and I haven't seen anything about a true autolaunch from boot. Anyone have any info? If not I will try ryar's gps fix. I can't find where I read it, but I'm pretty sure that the core menu system and AV management is embedded within the custom iGo8 software that Pioneer developed. That being said, Ryar's AvicNet2.1 has something called "hardbutton" I think, that can startup a program (like Primo2.0) directly on boot. To find it, click on settings under the AvicNet menu. It does take a bit longer to boot because it first has to startup iGo8, but if you've decided to use Primo exclusively, it makes things a bit easier.

I'd recommend that WinCE image that disables the gyro. I believe the gyro is supposed to help keep your position if gps is lost, but it never seemed to do a great job anyway. Does anyone know if there's any real useful purpose for the gyro?

Thanks for the info PMS. I am going to try the gyro sensor method this weekend. I actually realized that my iPod video does not work if I am running primo, so I am just going to leave the navi part alone for now.

I thought my nav was unit was starting up to the nav and then loading primo automatically as well, but lately it hasn't been starting on the nav screen???? I will check the settings again. Do you by any chance have the primo icon that appears on the top menu after it starts up. I have not been able to locate it in the files but I want to replace another icon with it. Just open it with any photo editing softwre and make a crop of the upper or lower end.

I updated my AVIC F700BT with your new update with Primo 2 (already had it with your first mod with Primo 1.2) and everything is going fine...except the cameras alerts that are still made in english, the voice saying "mobile camera ahead" although I put the french voice alerts in the audio folder in the data.zip in Igo..Is there a line to modify somewhere so that the alerts in Primo will look for the right voice? It was working fine with the Primo 1.2 versin, but I didnt remember how I made it work..lol..Could it come fom the speedcam file that is not in the good format?..Thank already for this update and if you can help..

I'm afraid that I can't of any help without spending a significant amount of time on it, since I never use the French voice on Primo.

You'll definitely have better lucks if you PM Jean-Louis Motte or post you question on the "French Discussion" of this Forum, or just read it, I believe that I saw discussions over this matter a while back, when they translated my mod into French. I think that you have to change some voice files under a zip file under the VOICES folder.
