Well, if you replaced it within the Image\Av folder, then it should work fine. I really can't see otherwise. Good lucks.

Sorted!Installed the 2.007 firmware from the OFFICIAL Pioneer website,then installed mods,maps etc and BINGO!It all works.Now I've got twice as many things to waste my time on....I love it!
Good for you ovalball, because I get messed up with all those FW versions!!! I know that all mods in this forum are made for FW 3.x and up, but don't know which version number it is referring to.

I think that F500 is well supported in this forum. Why don't you search under its own threads rather than under the F900? I think that lot of people are having it here.

i got it. I had an error in the Image.res file. Now it works.
The TMC language now also working. The german Lang files are missing in Igo.

First page has too much details and it gets confusing. If you can make it clear and separated from old posts.. would help. Which files I have to download and what are specific files/folders should be copied where?

if i press buttons in the "Navigiation Menu".....buttons in the Map menu...
In primo mode i can see Satellite connection, but igo says "searching for satellite".

For the GPS issue in Primo, ryar is saying that you have to disable the Gyro Sensor in the European version in order to let the GPS locks.

Sorry no answer to your question #1.
For #2, yes you have to enable building in iGo (which is default), you have to have building file for your city in the CONTENT\Building folder. No all cities have building file though.
ok finally I installed your mod. Few problems..
1. POI, there is no POI except MSN Direct when I try to manage POI..Files are there in POI folder in APL2/Priomo folder
2. Map colors/Scheme are too dull for my choice. Is there any way I can use Abb's schemes by just putting his Scheme folder in there?
3. I like folder and other application interface, but yet to figure out how to get icons on main Map, I like Smart zoom and 3D more than 2d flat dull screen display.
4. Add pin to favorites is wonderful thing. Or say present location information and then be able to add it into favorites is what I missed with Abb1's mod. Still working on it, so it may take me few more days to properly explore the mod so that I can say more about it.
So, abb1s mode can not be applied to FW 4.0010 or so.. right?

Let me tell you.. I was under impression that Primo must be something off the chain .. but I was disappointed from it. When I tried I Go today, I was totally satisfied. Only thing is, I have to get all Schemes from Abb1, I like my map to be high contrast colors and not washed out colors. But I am truly impressed by iGO functions and ease of use.

If I remember well, you have to click on INIT, then SCAN, then CHOOSE. It is possible that you have to restard iGo between INIT and SCAN, but I'm not quite sure ...

Hummm, check on the following lines of chuck88_800_480.ui and change the alpha level to your liking:

After years of modding My BT900 has decided its had enough and wont let me into testmode!The screen goeas blank but then it just boots up as normal.Tried different SD cards but no joy.Anyone with any ideas please?Dont know what i will do to fill my days!

Hummm, don't know how to help you ovalball but myself I don't use testmode anymore to make change to my mod or Primo, except when the AVIC doesn't boot.
If it boots, you can still make change to it by terminating iGo or Primo, then open Explorer or Commander to make changes.

Ovalball, you would have to make sure that you don't mess up with the iGo baseline though. You'll otherwise be unable to access your AVIC anymore!!!

Chuck I'm,up and running again!After hours of pulling my hair out I tried to start all over again.I got into the service menu and did a wince update with format.After this i coul,d access test mode again!So i reinstalled my MFD back up and all is sweet again!Thanks for your help as always!Wonder if there will be any new mods coming up pr do you think we have exhausted the F series now?Really like to run Primo)off your mod of course!)but memory issues with certain skins are a bit of a pain.

One more question though...I have 37 different scheme files in the folder but only 17 are available in the menu.. any idea? or it has limitation of 17 only? and I have to delete remaining ones?
Good thing ovalall fixed his issue. I thought it was either SD card reader or windows files got corrupted. and Glad to know that he fixed it finally by upgrading windows. I have yet to play with bluetooth. How is upgrading from Pioneer website? it is ok or have some issues of its own also?
