Thanks for download links. I installed on one of my f500 and it worked flawlessly. I was able to change language to English and use most settings. Most mods are taken from this forum and improved upon.

Since russian maps are very small in size they were able to add multiple map options like igo, garmin etc. Main option navigation is completely in russian and highly modified.

It's using checkEngine for windows CE for OBD-II and there are help files in English to set it up.(www.check-engine.ru)

It would be great if someone who is familiar with Russian can help on this with known . all the mods done on this really looks interesting and everything is incorporated in apl4 folder.

I was wondering how you installed this? Did you just make a APL4 folder and added the 5 files?

Thanks

Jimbo

I removed everything from my flash disk on f500bt and copied my flash disk from this mod.

I do not need to change anything as it was for same unit but if you trying to install on f7/9 series then change sys.txt accordingly.

If you copy your existing English Language folder >>> My Flash Disk\APL2\iGo\CONTENT\LANG <<< to the same folder on the new mod you will have all your menu/settings text in English.

EDIT: ...but the apps seem to have now disappeared...?

I installed this mod and I have to say it was impressive. Too bad most of it is in Russian language. If we can get everything translated over to English, it might be a fun mod to play around with. I would like to play with this when it does switch over to English.

I'd like to try the OBDII software.

If you change language in settings, you will get everything in english. But main mods which are like obd-ii software, IGo Alt, IGo-Primo, Navitel, Garmin, city guide will still be in Russian.

Keyboard, Regeditor and such i was able to find in english.

I also looked and studied obd-II software website. They do have help and settings in english to change settings for baud rate and com port settings etc. But software remain in Russian. Also it's not one size fit all as software is designed car specific. So for Sonata it will be different and for accord it will be different.

I also try googling alternative windows CE based OBD-II software, found some but none fits the bill yet.

found links from Russian forum where they have 64 pages of discussion of this mod. How to use it, settings and configuration.

I think one we downloaded don't have full maps and following mod is with maps. I'm downloading this and will see what changes are made. I think 3d cars is one of them.

We really need someone who speaks and read Russian to translate discussion from that forum.Even if OBD-II won't work there are other mods where you can browse internet(Opera, Opera mini and IE) using phone as modem, running different gps software like tomtom and garmin can be helpful.

I'll be trying garmin with american maps soon and will update you guys.

Did you have any luck yet?

downloaded and installed on f500bt and it worked perfectly. Currently on vacation but once i get home will install us maps and see how it goes.

Also downloaded garmin mobile xt(In Mod) US maps with base maps and will replace with that as well.

I'm not gonna bother with OBD-II software and Russian gps mods but will take everything that we can use for US.

Will this work on the f700bt?

Posted Jan 19, 2011 · 21:52 UTC#38

it will. Just remember to change accordingly in sys.txt and keep your original files handy if something doesn't work.

I have a AVIC-T10, will it work on that?

Posted Jan 26, 2011 · 23:38 UTC#40

it will. Just remember to change accordingly in sys.txt and keep your original files handy if something doesn't work.

Just wondering about this....will it let you use the CD/bluetooth/etc with this mod?

Posted Feb 24, 2011 · 14:26 UTC#41

Just installed this on my F900BT. It does work. To put it in English go to the bottom right, and you'll see a very familiar menu pop up. From there you can switch between English, Spanish, and French(where's Russian?)

First thoughts: This is neat, but it keeps trying to connect to some dialup modem. Everything in the avic menu is in Russian regardless of what language the main UI is in., so that will need to be translated. If someone knows which files to look at then maybe I can give it a shot with babelfish or something. From the looks of things, the stereo still works while you're using the other apps.

If Abb, Dafftia, or someone with more knowledge of how the system works wants to point me at which files need to be examined I will do what I can to get them into English.

**EDIT:

The control for the new app is in /APL2 under AVIC Net. It looks like it uses the same .ui extensions as everything else but I haven't had much headway with it.

Hi, any news?

Posted Jul 26, 2011 · 19:14 UTC#44

F 700 BT. Works perfectly. It is the best mod i ever tested (3 in total). I did not find from where to change audio on nav. Still in russian (understand few words only but sounds interesting and the voice is pleasent). Need to study more this mod and i think i will stay with him. I like the fact that accept many types of maps.

Was anyone ever able to get this installed fully working with all of it in english?

3 year old topic. Anything going on? I'd really like to replace the Pioneer maps in my AVIC 710
