I have AVIC Z2 40GB version and this software does not work. I burned the image on CD and DVD -R, but both did nothing when I put them in the AVIC Z2 no message or etc.

What I am missing here? any help would be appreciate!

Did you just copy the ISO file to cd, or burn as an image? If burned correctly, you will have many files on the cd.

I burned the image. After burning i place the CD / DVD into AVIC Z2, But nothing happens. I reset the AVIC Z2, etc BUT NO Luck!

Will your cd/dvd drive (in the avic) read any other discs?  Lots of people are having failed cd/dvd drives...

It does read all the Discs, Music, Video etc. Following are the files I have on CD after burning the image.

1. AAAAAAAA.AAA

2. TESTDISC.KEY

3. ZZZZZZZZ.ZZZ

That is correct. I have no idea why it's not working for you unless you are using windows built in CD burner, as the avic does not like it. Most people use a free Nero version.

I used Demon Tool, etc.

Hi, I burn  a CR-R DISC, test menu shows up on HRZ88, but nothing respose with any button.

Enter the password as listed in my instructions. It will not appear to respond to button pushes until you enter password.

Yes this look to good to be true, but it realy works.

 

It look like Pioneer made there own service disk, and you can now download it via this torrent (inside rar file).

remember to seed when you are done so other people can download it also.

This torrent also includes a service manual.

The procedure to unlock your hard disk

1. Burn "Service Test Disc" on DVD-R disc (+ R does not work)

2. Ignition Key to the ACC

3. STD inserted into AVIC

4. When the disc is inserted, the following title shows "06 INTERNATIO NAL NAVI TEST DISC: GGV1194"

Then the "Test Menu appears"

5. During the "Test Menu", select next page

5. Select option 6 "HDD FLG Set" - p. 214 manual

6. Now the AVIC unlocks the hard disk

7. Return to the main menu by pressing the "AV"

8. On the menu screen "6 HDD FLG Set" will be marked with an asterisk - * which means that the password is temporarily removed

9. Open the display to horizontal;

10. Turn the ignition key to 0

11. Unscrew the two HDD cover T8 screws

12. Now you can connect the HDD to your PC and perform all the necessary updates

14. Replace the hard drive into AVIC and tighten the screws

15. Turn the ignition key to AC

16. The unit starts and the screen is shut. At this point you can click the Eject button and remove the disc into the drive

Press the switch "RESET" (This action is always advisable to do after work in test mode, the prepare the system for everyday use)

17. master password will again be restored to disk.

Guys Help me pls its urgent. I don't have remote. Just want eject STD from my AVIC HRZ008. I don't want to try this. my AXIO X 2008 is now unable to start engine. I just buy this car 4 days. please help someone.

Hello, on a drive that I got years ago from garretoomey, the process flashed to red..  So I'm still trying it.. doing a backup via Arconis and will upgrade.

Don't know if it already unlocked..  I do see directories with sizes..

If it came from me, then it's permanently unlocked. No need to do this step.

Yup it did and it is not locked.  I did see the folders/files so that confirm that it unlocked.

My issue seems to have been the USB to IDE interface.  I copied all that I needed, got an older computer out and hooked it up, installed files and loaded the HDD with the 2012 maps. 

That worked.. I had unlocked the original drive with the zip you made last night and loaded my org backup and then updated it..

So I'm set.  Now the trip next Friday.. Vacation with new maps

I have a Z1 model bought from USA few years ago but now I leave in Europe.......does anyone have the maps for Europe? and....is there any difference in HDD unlocking mode/upgrade for Europe than for USA?
