Thank you for the map updates!

Instead of putting all the new states and POI's on to my F90BT, I just switched out my state (Illinois) and PIO's to the updated 2011.

Is everyone else able to fit all the new 2011 maps and POI's on their units?

Does anyone have the steps on how to install the maps on to the F700BT unit?

The time you spend reading the Hack.Mod posts and others will be worth your time and you'll get better support (as we all have learned) after doing so. Get familiar with testmode and how to BACKUP and then copy the new map files to your unit. It requires a time investment, like we made, but you can reap rewards beyond having new maps.

There is a learning curve but many have seen the value.

Thanks to the OP for the uploads. I had a few issues with the files (#1 was corrupt and other 2 others showed errors), but I will test what I d/l'ed soon, in one, then the other F500BT. The non-torrent sites are passable but excruciatingly slow.

This link no longer works, to wit:

Are these maps teleatlas or navteq?

I was able to squeeze all the US-lower 48 maps and 1/2 the POI's onto my F700. You will definitely have to make some map/POI choices. I can also confirm that the maps work with the FX3.1 firmware image with no other changes. I installed the image first, then the upgraded maps.

Hope this helps.

1) I downloaded a new image from the post "FX3.1 Complete Firmware"

2) I opened the zip file from the image and replace the folders of Maps and POI with the 2011 maps.

3) Follow the instructions of the FX3.1 Complete Firmware

Filety, The above procedures can be applied to a new ordered X930BT.

I checked the FX3.1 and the map is Igo end the new x930BT is teleatlas.

If these work can someone write up a new sticky to replace the 2009.6 maps.

so if i have the 3.0 update on my f700, can i just replace the map files on the flash disk with the ones in the torrent and it will be fine?

Is this the same data as CNSD-210FM although it doesn't require any password? Or do you still need EZrider?

Posted Dec 06, 2011 · 02:24 UTC#49
