Hi,

If some of you are running AVIC-Z110BT with Application Version 2.00300 and want to update maps and Application Version from CNSD-210FM, you can do the following:

1. Download the attached ZIP (it contains modified files to bypass passcode check)

2. Download th original 2.003 update package from the Pioneer web site

3. Extract the AVICZ110 folder from the original package and put it at the root of your SD card

4. On the SD card, replace the original files with those from the attached ZIP file (AVICZ110\EU090APL.VER and AVICZ110\APL\RenewalIFLib.dll)

5. Put the SD card in the Z110BT and update will start

6. At the end of the update, Application Version will be 2.00400

-- The 2.00400 version is actually files from the 2.00300 version that have been patched to bypass passcode check

Then, proceed with the CNSD-210FM upgrade. When a passcode is required, enter a passcode with 16 letters in length. It could be anything but must be 16 character length. For instance: PASSWORDPASSWORD

The update took 20 minutes on my device. Application Version is currently 3.001.

BTW, I'd like to thank ShortFuse and Drin for information they have written in some posts, so I was able to patch the current 2.00300 version to make the fake 2.00400 version allowing update with no passcode check

Isn't that link for the EU version? For some reason (possibly to confuse us), Pioneer uses the same product id for different versions of the upgrade. They did the same thing with the previous upgrade (CSND-110FMN)

The CSND-210FM doesn't get "hacked" or modified in any way. You hack the patch (2.003). Install it, then install CSND-210FM .

My F10bt got updated thanks to ShortFuse to F20bt and now thanks to StefanSKI it got updated to F30bt with 2011 european maps and main app in less than 35minutes.

Ok so I managed to get time to give this a go over the weekend and all went well until the map update got to 100% then all I get is a message saying incorrect sd card. please insert correct sd card.

Anyone else had this problem before ??

Just to update, I fixed the problem I was having by re-extracting the zipped files and copying them back to the sdcard.

My point is that someone has got to actually buy the upgrade with the intent to "donate" it to the group. It won't just magically appear. If I paid for a legitimate upgrade, why would I give it away for free. Besides the ethical issues, I'd be taking a risk that the SD image isnt traceable (uniquely serialized). To make sure it isn't tracable back to me, I'd defer from registering it - to get the valid passkey. I'd have to use the hack like everyone else who's just stealing it for free. Again, why would I do that if I actually paid for a legitimate copy?

BTW, I doubt that those instructiuons have been vetted with a real US upgrade. They'll probably work, but we won't know until someone tries it.

I think some people just like to be jerks. I have bouhgt maps before and it seems to be a waste. Like I am the only one looking for it. Thanks for the great advice Ronny, your a real gem.

Oh litle Ronnie, jus by you mentioning "ethincal issues" in you original post implies you felt they are there, regardless of your "besides".
