I bought the AppRadio 2 as I knew its potential, I received it just yesterday and I downloaded the hack moments after the installation!

I have Earthed the "Parking Break" (I am from the UK so thats all I need to do I believe) however, the "Custom" apps have the "Don't Touch" symbol on the top corner, I am wondering if this is normal as I have seen on your Demo with the original AppRadio you're also able to control it.

Controls just work since the latest Beta Version i think and this is Not available in cydia i think.

So i just purchased and installed my new AR2 and dld the AR extensions from the fist post, it works great, but i don't know what I'm doing wrong because i can't see Navigon or Slingbox at the head unit. A warning message comes up with something like this: Can't watch video at the front display. I have a grounded switch going to the parking brake and afaik it works good, because if i turn "off" the switch another message pops up saying to apply the park brake.

I was able to open my Txt message app, and other stuff, but not the other 2 apps.

Under the "More Apps" section in App Radio Extensions you will find a switch to turn the apps on for touch screen use.

sorry to ask, but i have problems...

first version on cidya 1.4.... worked ok i have shortcut and display ( i got display out and activator too, but not "on" )

this version 1.9.... something wrong with the display....goes black....

for info basic iphone 4 on 5.1.1 jailbroken

activator and display out uninstalled...it's the same

i have only "appradio" application that is showed on appradio screen ( same size as iphone screen ) and black...only sound...

i've reinstall as some users do ( appradio app, app ext too...etc )

one time "more app" section was empty telling me "there was an error bundle app load error...." something like that...

i've reinstalled...

i repeat, i have my personnal shortcuts anyway in appradio screen, but after short display from iphone appradio application....screen goes black....

Before this 1.9 version, i could see facebook page on appradio screen unit for exemple...( vers. 1.4...)

2.0 Beta 2 works on a jailbreaked 5.1.1 iPhone 4S

Some apps work without problems (Facebook, Infinity Blade 2) others go to blank screen often after startup (Safari, Mail), which requires a restart of the Appradio app.

Awesome Project as a whole. Respect.

synor, when you talk about "restart appradio app"....i've been doing it...but no luck for me...

you're talking about appradio application ( original pioneer app...) ?

i think i remember reading any springboard app from apple wont work.... so safari, mail, phone and music will not be able to be accessed from the more apps extensions....

one other friend tryied v2 beta...he pretend it's the same as v1.4....

the only difference is that he is in v2.5 and i am in 2.56....in sphdao1

Hi, I figured out what was happening.

I had installed the cydia 1.4 version and updated via safari download enabler/i-file. Double checked the Software version, and it was buggy. Well i deleted the original cydia package, and re installed the beta from i-file and REBOOTED the iPhone and now all works.

I managed to stop the black screen crash when switching from an unsupported app back to the springboard by keepin safari open and when I want to switch apps I'd go to safari and kill the appradio app on iPhone, browse something on safari and then I can go to the spring board and reopen appradio. At least this way I don't have to re-spring the iPhone.

If you have the USA version, you have apply, remove and re-apply the parking break.

So you can't just wire to ground forever. you need to wire to a simple SPST switch ($3 or less) then wire the other side of the switch to Ground.

Then you can press the switch to simulate on off on.

You don't need to do this on-off-on for all the head unit functions I have found.

I have the 8400BH, and for DVD or SD, I on'y need to ground once, but App mode and iPod video playback I usually need to do the double sequence.

I had been using 1.4 and removed it and now installed the beta but i cant configure it since its not showing in my general settings?

The grounded switch works perfectly for all apps/functions. I honestly only had to switch on-off-on the first time, and now it doesn't show the parking brake message. Only comes up if I turn the switch to off, which I have never turned off since I finished troubleshooting.

i've reinstalled with ifile....

i have only the little screen pioneer appradio app "stuck" on sphda01 monitor....

instead of having on left and right side the background of the other application shortcut,

i have only two black sides on left and right to "appradio app" displayed.

when i touch these "black" side ( left or right ) it bring me back to app shortcuts of appradio...

screen is 7 millimeters smaller all around ...

i have almost the same as all what you describe, but no app with touch fonction ??? black screen ?

how do you proceed exactly ?

do you need other app than appext beta 2 to make available app with touchscreen ?
