Looks like we have a jailbreak for iOS7 available now, hopefully not much needs to be done to get this working with iOS7 :)

All, I am new to this, but the new iOS 7 jailbreak is out from http://evasi0n.com (the evad3rs team) Can you please confirm if there will be an AppRadio Extension for the iPhone 5 / 5s. or if the current one will work.

Thanks

Faz

I installed 7.4 & jailbroke, installed Extensions from Cydia it loads but crashes & disappears. I went to page 1 saw teh dependancies & alternate install routes.

I have MobileSubstrate & AppList but PreferenceLoader does not show up.

Now when I try to install I get missing dependancy iOS <6.02.

Now I'm using appradio3 sph-da110, but if I'll connect the lightning cable to native usb out in appradio3, will appradio app works?

App Radio mode is not dependent on USB for i5.

Have we not go to wait for the updated version of evasi0n which includes mobile substrate anyway?

No clue but nothing outside extensions will change that extensions won't run over ios 6.2.

Is that because preference loader isn't listed in Cydia to be installed as a dependency?

When I search there is no preferanceloader.

When I search it there is (it's spelt preferenceloader)

Does it work?

So all the dependencies for appex can now be installed, but it itself still can't due to the ios firmware <6.2 message. I guess this means Mike needs to update the tweak for ios 7?

Just to confirm, just seen Mike's twitter:

"AppEx is not compatible with iOS 7 just yet. Definitely looking into it."

Good news!

Great news.

Cannot wait! Thanks so much Mike!

By the way, probably a good idea to now turn off auto app updates in iOS7 so as not to get an accidental update of the AppRadio app.

Now that the new iOS 7.04 Jailbreak is out, can we expect AppRadio Extensions to be made iOS 7 compatible soon?

Does AppRadio Extensions reply on Mobile Substrate?   If so I guess there is a short delay in getting a fully compatible Mobile Substrate but it's on the way soon.

I'm looking forward to having AppRadio Extension once again :-)

EDIT I thought the posts above were pre-jailbreak news looks like you're already on it

Hello,

I've got a problem with the beta version of appradio extensions. I've got an iphone 4 on ios 6.1.3 and I must launch an unsupported app on the phone BEFORE I click on it on my radio.

If the app hasn't been launched on the phone, he try to open it but it freezes and crash on the springboard..

Yeah Appex does rely on mobile substrate, but this can actually be installed, but needs to be reinstalled every time the phone boots I believe until mobile substrate is updated. The problem is Appex itself is only compatible with ios 6 atm, so we're waiting on Mike for this! :)

There are no news whether you can wait appradio ext iOS 7 ?

Posted Dec 29, 2013 · 17:04 UTC#1998

Has anyone tried modifying the package so it doesn't look for an iOS version < 6.2?

Posted Dec 29, 2013 · 17:05 UTC#1999

I'd be willing to try if I had a clue how.

lol

You can install the .deb from the link on the first page of this thread. Most things dont work though.

I have an Appradio 3, firmware 08.05. My iPhone 4S's firmware is 7.0.4, and i have all the newest software for the Appradio app, as well as any other app. I also have the most recent beta from the first page of this thread.

Heres my results from toying with it.

The notifications settings dont appear to work. I had old settings from an old appradio extentions install i did from bigboss that allowed me to use the "Show in menu" part of the tweak. (the menu for it is currently broken.) It displays the unsupported apps on the appradio, but clicking on them makes the iphone cash (respring.) I couldn't test Landscape Lock. The siri button works great. the music controls button shows a blank icon, and for me it didnt work. the clock and battery settings work fine. Bypass lauch alert for the Appradio, as well as the Pandora app, seems to be working great. Using the pandora bookmark as a home button crashed my iphone (made it respring.)

Hope this helps a bit.

- Matt

EDIT: I forgot to add, installing the .deb file from the first page of the thread will still give errors. But the installation will be successful.
