Are you all still JB on IOS7? I've been hesitant in updating from IOS 7.0.6 to IOS 8 due to reported issues with AR mode. Starting to think it's time to upgrade my IOS and JB 8.1.1. I would also guess that any chance of an "Extention" type App would now be developed for IOS 8.

Should I wait or pull the trigger?

Thoughts?

I wrote emails too many developers asking them to come have a look here and help out but had no reply whatsoever

Saurik updated Veency for IOS8 today, Mike said he based some of his code off of that tweak, does this helps for the update?

I gave up on this and sold my AppRadio a while back but man if someone could mix this with the new CarPlay Activator / Ignition by Adam Bell (@b3ll https://twitter.com/b3ll) y'all would be set!

Ok folks, I'm proclaiming this effort dead! Clearly Mike had moved on and no one is taking up the development on this until further notice. It is a dead project and there will be no updates. No need to contribute to this thread any longer unless something happens. Let's please move on.

Anyone know if a 3GS on iOS6 will work? They are cheap on eBay.

It's possible to do a tethered downgrade on iPhone 4 to 6.1.2 then jailbreak and install AppRadio Extensions! http://www.geeksn0w.it/GeekGrade/download.html

I did this and now run an iPhone 4 in my glovebox.

do you not have to touch the iphone at all as its in the glovebox? or just the once to allow the appradio app to activate?

better still with a ipod touch 4g. It costs less and is already ios 6.

ipod automatically install backward compatible. Lose only Appradiolive.

I realize this is an old post but hoping someone will see this...

I am very new to all of this, so I need some help in Lehman terms. I am the "Mom" in the middle of the pic...LOL    I am a number cruncher (accountant) who can only get by on computers.  I have jail broken my IPhone 4S 8.1.2 Cydia and have App Extns on my IPhone.  I have the AppRadio SPH Dav02 that I need to connect to.  Can someone give me instructions on how to bring the two together to get full functionality on my AppRadio?  Also, I am not sure what to do about the parking break thing.  I have installed the head unit myself and I tapped into the parking break (which seems to be working ok right now) and will install the reverse camera this weekend.

Any help on getting this to work and enjoy what everyone else is enjoying would be great!  I am getting ready to move from Baltimore to Myrtle Beach, so would love to have this done for the road trip.

AppEx doesn't work on iOS7/8 and likely never will.

I am a CS major and have sent to this to people that are I t he industry but they will not do it for less then $2000. Let's prove the backing is here. I can get done. If not in time I will do it. I will use this for a long time. I just need time for me to do it. But people I know can but will not unless money is involved. No donations but prove the money is there and they will sell the app on cydia for the right price if we are willing to pay.

I'd be willing to chip in $50 if it meant I'd be able to use my SPH-DA01 with my iPhone 4S running iOS 8.1.2 the way I used to back on iOS 6.1.2 with AppEx. A lot cheaper than replacing it.

Just need 39 more folks willing to do the same.

Asking for proof of $2000 to write this is bullshit, of course the interest is there, they just have to look at the App Radio Unchianed/Reloaded downloads/reviews in the play store or the sheer amount of views this thread has(over 600,000).

IMO the person that's gonna write an app like this is going to be someone who's already invested in an AR2/3/4 and are an apple phone user, if someone was to start developing this now they would at least need an Appradio 2/3 and maybe a 4 if they are supporting it also.
