I would contribute. Especially if the new version of App Extensions transferred "touch" control from the iPhone to the Appradio. Right now we can transfer the image on the iPhone 5 to the screen of the AR 3, but there is touch control.

Are any of you actually going to donate to a group without actually knowing if they will or can do this? I donated for a job well done years ago. I would not "donate to a group without actually knowing if they will or can do this" I'd suggest blanket attacks like this are not productive especially from a mod, however.
I decided to send a msg to the original member who posted they would be willing to work on getting something running for 2000.00 and in the past if i where in a position where i could use the previous version of AppEx i would have donated but due to way Pioneer does things i was always with a headunit that was compatible with previous gen Iphone and none of those units were Appradio's they all had Appradio mode feature however i now have a Nex-4000 and Iphone 6plus so I'm very much interested in seeing this through hopefully member is legit we can get a Kickstarter page going.
The source code for this project is open source so no one can charge for a developed product to my knowledge.

yes I believe mike decaro has posted it on github for anyone to work on that may be true that no one can charge for it but i don't see a issue with paying someone to finish where he left off to my understanding this hasn't worked since iOS 6 or 7
It last worked in ios 6, I got an iPhone 4 with 6 & it would not run on my NEX 8000.

Already tried tweeting him but haven't gotten a response yet. If anyone else knows people that are willing to donate lets all come together and try to make something happen I'm sure if he see's a few hundred dollars coming into his Paypal on one day it will not go unnoticed, it should better are chances to get the ball rolling on some type of update. Have went backed and messaged the members that posted they were willing to make a donation so hopefully i get some responses and the site doesn't think I'm just spamming people.

Mike hasn't been active on any of his online accounts in a long time(10Months), safe to say he may not be coming back wherever he is.
The version he shared on github is a brand new build he was creating for ios7, there is very little source code written, in fact all the source code does when compiled is allow the application to run in the background when you close it, thats it. The previous working build from ios6 wasn't opensource AFAIK
Ok so any suggestions on what maybe we could do next or should i just give up ? Carplay isn't enough for me i need something not so restricted, would have made more since for Pioneer to atleast make Appradio app to run within Carplay with one cable and have all the apps compatible. You just can't win with Pioneer every year its something.

This is going to take someone that can program, has an App Radio unit, and can devote free time to the task. Just like the developer that started this in the first place. Not some unknown group claiming they will devote time and resources for a price. Until that happens this project is dead. Please stop beating this dead horse.
Vblue42 your definitely right about that i guess i'll hold off and wait maybe someone will develop Carplay Extensions and figure out a way to mirror iPhone thru that, but in the mean time i think I am going to purchase a mirabox with hdmi output i won't have touch functionality but will be able to mirror my iPhone on my Nex-4000 and have it done through hdmi input on Pioneer unit. However Im still willing to donate to get something for IOS 8.
Hey wondering if you guys can help me figure out something with this. Heres my setup:
Pioneer AVG-X4700BS appradio one headunit
Using iPhone 3gs running 6.1.4 tethered to my iPhone 5 for internet.
When I connect the usb cable to my head unit and to the 3gs it loads appradio like it should and it shows apps like messages and waze in the head unit, when I press the app I want to launch on the head unit it shows that I pressed it (pressed on the headunit) and loads that app on my phone but the display on the pioneer still shows the icons of the apps.
I have all the dependencies installed but no tv out style app installed because every one in cydia said that it would uninstall appradio extensions if I install it. Is that ok?
What am I doing wrong? Im basically just trying to get the pioneer to show the maps in waze on the headunit. Thanks
I'm pretty sure you need the official cable(CD-IU201V) to use the older phones(iPhone 3GS/4/4S, iPod Touch 4th Gen) with that radio as the video from the phone is analogue and needs to be run in through a 3.5mm jack on the rear of the radio.
