honestly im so confuse on what this does i have a avic z1 and it still has the original software never been updated can i do it with the torrents you guys are talking about ?

It's a map upgrade. Hows the torrent doing? I just stopped by to see whats going on.

Jumped in late on this one and the torrent has only 1 seed.  Slow but I do not mind the wait as long as its complete. Will update my Z1 (modded to Z3 & 2010 maps) once its done...

Is this image from the stock 30GB HD or from an upgraded Toshiba 60GB drive? - Nevermind, got it and it seems stock.

UPDATE:  I did the restore of the Maps and System partitions and all seemed well, however the AVIC is now saying "Cannot Use HDD" at startup in 3 languages.  I tried to restore the full drive (all partitions from the torrent image and got the same result, so I am sure I did not mess anything up in the 1st restore.  Anyone else have this issue???

I'm so late to the game here but I was wondering if someone could seed the 2012 maps and the Z3 2010 HDD Image, please. I have an original Z1 that is starting to give me issues so after a Google search I ran across this site, which by the way is AWESOME. So I would like to update my HDD to the Z# and the 2012 maps but need someone to seed please. I will seed once I get it, thank you!!!!

didnt work cant see the drive , I tried using test disk but it said request denied or something like that when i tried to unlock hd

wish i could help, i am able to see my unlocked drive but have not flashed yet, you use the test disc in the unit itself to unlock the drive before you remove it btw, you know this correct? then connect to a pc

ive tried everything still no luck ive come too the conclusion that it must be my motherboard thats not letting the hdd be visible, im going to look for someone that has an older pc with ide and see if its seen there.

yes i used test cd got error message and when i connected to pc w adapter using mhdd program any command i use says same thing "drive not ready" same thing when i try it on different hdd too

can someone seed the image for me when i was copying it to the hdd it gave me a error so i need to download it again

after install and using the test disc , out of the blue im getting a error "it was refused to request hdd mode change" when unlocking.. anyone seen this before? it worked fine when i had the avic on the bench before install 

never mind, i guess it means i just set my hdd to not accept lock commands and now its fully unlocked.... i can see it fully under windows :cheers:
