Still have not recieved the ipod adapter or bluetooth. sucks.
Posted Jun 23, 2006 · 03:01 UTC#102
well as i mentioned in a previous reply..." spoke to Peter and he said everything was in stock on my order..."

Box came yesterday and NO BLUETOOTH!!!!!
Customer service said it was a simple mistake and that the sales person (Peter) was in fact looking at a live screen but that 6ave.com was confused to what product came in and it was mis-typed into the system....

Yeah whatever same ol' bullshit lying to me that everything i ordered was there and ready to ship. I tried to get some idea as to when it would be in and she said that it is marked as any day now. I asked if that really means week, 2 weeks, month or so and replied that it means any day now. Real ugly way of doing business. But things happen and i do understnad but as i pointed out to the cust serv rep...
If 6ave could have just called when they prepared the packing slip so i could be informed as to the mixup then i would have been able to contact my installer and at least given him a more advanced notice. He ended up pushing out 2 installs to have space for mine.

So forget what i said about 6ave having them. I was told they did but like i said i couldt say for sure until the box gets here -
NO Bluetooth at 6ave.com today 6/22/06

I have one Bluetooth adaptor I decided not to use. I paid 249 last week from a guy online. Id be willing to sell it for cost plus maybe just a little for my trouble if anywon wants to pay the extra and not wait until its available online. email jim6122rice at yahoo Otherwise Ill throw it up and ebay and get 400 bucks for it :)
Posted Jun 23, 2006 · 13:37 UTC#104
Yah, for $400 on ebay? I'm half tempted to rip mine out of my truck and deal with it for a few months for that price.
Posted Jun 27, 2006 · 18:13 UTC#105
Has anyone found somewhere that has the CD-iB100ii & ND-BT1 in stock?
This sucks.
Have been calling 6ave.com and getting alot of attitude. we should all bomb them will calls, they lied to half of us.
Posted Jun 27, 2006 · 20:54 UTC#106
Totally agree with hellmaster...I ordered my Z1 and Bluetooth 2 1/2 weeks ago, and I still don't have the Bluetooth yet. I won't be ordering from these guys again!

I was pissed so I called Pioneer. It seems that they have ran low on stock.
They said to check with Circuit City or Best Buy in your area. I told them that I have been waiting for a couple weeks for back ordered items and I'm not happy.

They put me on hold.
They said they checked with their shipping and parts people and that they have a huge shipment going out the last week of June and to expect the sellers to have them the first week of July. Lets hope they are right.

I just got my CD-iB100ii from circuit city out here in Jersey. I ordered it online to make sure it was in stock then did store pic up.. Just try circuit city.com it wont hurt to try
Posted Jun 27, 2006 · 23:44 UTC#109
Already did that. every circuit city with in 20 miles radius of my zip code does not have it.
Posted Jun 28, 2006 · 00:33 UTC#110
6Ave better get them by first week of July. Those dumb shits are totally dishonest and just trying to take advantage of people who are looking for a decent deal on an expensive piece of hardware.

Did anyone notice on their packing slip (receipt) from 6Ave that it says "Purchased from: WEB" or something similar? I bought mine by calling in, figuring that it would be considered a store/catalog order. I'm wondering if this means that the warranty is not valid, since Pioneer doesn't honor warranties from Z1's bought online (at least from 6Ave's site)...

Why would the warranty be void if pioneer lists 6ave.com as an authorized internet reseller?

check out

Am i missing something?

And, I also purchased from 6ave.com and yes they are jerks.. But only after you tell them that you want the unit only and not there aftermarket warranty (where they make their real money)

Well we could get them on a technicality. It says “Available Products” and not necessarily “Authorized Products”.
Posted Jun 28, 2006 · 22:44 UTC#114
I think you are all over analyzing this. I've never heard of Pioneer not warranting a product in the first year.

Let's not try to solve a problem we don't have yet. Do we have a problem?

I've seen multiple posts saying Pioneer will warranty any true Pioneer unit within the first year. Weather or not it was purchased from a Authorized retailer.
Posted Jun 28, 2006 · 23:22 UTC#115
Thats what I thought. I'm not worried at all.
I just want to get the Bluetooth & Ipod adapters.

Since I purchased all the items together do you think they are all covered under the Repair Tech warranty? Or just the Z1 is covered?
Posted Jun 28, 2006 · 23:54 UTC#116
hellmaster,

I'm not sure but I would guess that only the main unit is covered, since when I registered the warranty on their web site it only asked for a single serial number for the single unit. You might be able to make a case either way.

Regardless, this is getting rediculous. I ordered my unit on 5/31, and have yet to receive either the BT or iPod adapter. Nothing has been shipped yet, nor have I been billed for the units.

I could cancel them, but they were discounted, and the shipping has already been paid for, so I don't want to shell out an additional $40 just because I don't want to wait for the items. Now that I think about it though, maybe it's worth it. Order them from crutchfield, and you'll get them as they come in. They do have the iPod units in now.

I'll give them another week or so, but yes this is truely frustrating, but I'm sure it is for them too. Just not very convenient.
Posted Jun 29, 2006 · 00:21 UTC#117
Probably just the Z1 is covered like you said.

Yes it is very frustrating. I have only been charged for the Z1 and warranty.
I dont have my vehicle yet so its not inconviencing really for me. I can understand how it would be for someone waiting to install it all at once. Thats what I want to do.

It seems that Pioneer dropped the ball on this one. Maybe they didnt expect that when the Z1 came out there would also be a big demand for its accessories. I dont know how they could think that but it looks like they did. We should be looking at 1st week of July. Read my post from Posted: Tue Jun 27, 2006 4:20 pm.

Just wanted to say I finally ordered my stuff, looks like I will in line waiting as well, that's ok because I still have to finish cutting and sealing the air ducts in my 330ci. :?
Posted Jun 29, 2006 · 06:46 UTC#119
You are correct. They will always repair it for the first year as long as you have a receipt (so ebay doesn't count.) Its a CA law and their US headquarters is in Long Beach

SCREW 6AVE!

I cancelled my order for the BT and iPod adapter with them.

Funny thing was it took them about 30 seconds to acknowledge my cancellation, but never replied to my email from two days ago asking for a ETA ship date for the items.

I understand they don't know why they don't have them, but others have them in stock, why not them?

Anyway, I'm done with 6Ave now. Good luck to everyone!

The answer to your question is because 6AVE sells the products at a lower price than most, so obviously there stock will go quickly (hence you, me and many others trying to purchase from them). While I understand your frustration, you still have to be reasonable and understand that they want your money just as bad as the other vendors do but they can not control when Pioneer will get more product to them. After all, they are not the only vendor that is out of stock.

I do agree that their communication to their customers' about the situation could be a lot better. Poor customer service can kill a company and hopefully they will corect this before it gets worse.

Looks like my Z1, bluetooth, and ipod adapter have been shipped. Hopefully those of you who ordered one received the same shipment email I got yesterday.
Posted Jul 01, 2006 · 06:30 UTC#123
I want to order from 6ave.com but im not sure about their service and their customer service reps telling people they have inventory when they actually dont.
IN QUESTION:
( Is 6ave.com a good place to get a good product for a good price with good service)

One interesting SIDE NOTE:
i just saw an ad for the ACURA MDX, it has a ZAGAT guide which feeds of the GPS location and gives you options as far as were to eat, so a GPS based ZAGAT guide,

PRETTY SHAZZZY>....

Yeah I've been seeing the Zagat feature on a few new GPS systems, I think the Alpine Nav system has it as well, (not the blackbird of course but the $1700 NVE-N872A). I still prefer the Z1's GPS system.

As far as 6th. Ave. it really depends, I had pretty good service but not others. I placed my order wed. and it shipped out thurs. Depends on if they have stock or not, they might lie and say they have it. In my case they prepared me by saying it might be 7-10 days because of backorders however I was surprised by next day shipment. I also negotiated $22K worth of plasmas/lcds (for my parents house) with the tv sales manager, and then was sent to the car audio dept. That said I didn't get any better deal than other avic411 members, which is a good thing, lets me know their margin is their margin for everyone. Anyway the two depts. operate seperately. I would say call them and feel them out. Good luck and make sure you talk to Roberto.
