ENG : UK English

FIF : Finnish

FRF : French

NON : Norwegian

PLP : Polish

2. Extract the downloaded zip file to your SD card without modifying anything.

3. Put the SD in your AVIC and follow directives from this page (thanks to milanatin)

Note 1 : GED, ITI and ROR are still missing for the moment... if you can provide them, please contact me by PM. Thank you Marcello! Now all 18 languages are available...

Installed the Swedish TTS files on my F40 which is just upgraded. No voice at all in the navigator. I assume I've missed something, but can't figure out what. Help appriciated.

Hi Peta,
I just checked SWS TTS files on my device and I can ear Alva :

maybe that, despite what I thought, there are different versions of TTS files from a Pioneer device to another : so far, there is only you (with F40) and a French member (with F9310) who have encountered this kind of problem and told me about it...

On the other hand, there have been many positive feedback from members that I helped by private message and for which I have not necessarily asked the model of their device, so I can't draw any conclusions.

Did you try another TTS language, for example the English one provided with the update ? Does it speak ?

English was not among the provided but I tried both Finnish and Polish and they do work fine. The Swedish TTS do install nicely, and it looks as on your screen, but there is just a little noice, no more. Even tried english TTS from your post above with no success. (In the file TTSData.rar from Marcello in the thread 2013 EU Update there is a folder (Transdata) which includes a SWS-folder with two filéa, TTS_DIC_SWS.bdc and TTS_TRANS_SWS.rul. Are they in any way needed to get it work?

the Transdata folder must content *.bdc and *.rul files for all 18 TTS languages or they can't work when you install them (but they should be installed with the update). With supertestmod, you can check that they are present in ndata\ttsdata\transdata\sws\

Checked my F40 and the Transdata folder is there with the two needed filés in SWS folder. The tys files from above is also in their right place. Feels like your idea about different versions of the TTS files could be right. Any idea where I can get those files?

Posted Oct 07, 2013 · 19:53 UTC#11

maybe from someone with the same device as you...

anyway, could you please copy the 2 files (TTS_DIC_SWS.bdc and TTS_TRANS_SWS.rul) from your avic to your PC and compare them with the one from marcello's zip file ?

Posted Oct 07, 2013 · 22:01 UTC#12

I'll do it tomorrow.

Posted Oct 08, 2013 · 21:16 UTC#13

I did a Hash test on Marcellos files compared to the ones on my F40 and they got the same checksum pairwise.

and the polish or finish tts files that work on your device are different from the PLP and FIF on the first post ?

Have to check tomorrow

Posted Oct 10, 2013 · 00:05 UTC#16

The files in my device and the first post for PLP and FIF are the same. The transdata filés from Marcello for those two languages and mine are also the same.

But, I noticed something. The files in the first post for PKP and FIF vs Marcellos are the same, but the SWS files differs. So I'm going to install Marcellos and see. Really odd.

Posted Oct 10, 2013 · 13:56 UTC#17

there is no SWS TTS files in Marcello's archive... or you mean the files for SWS in the Transdata folder ?

I'm going to backup my Transdata folder too to check if the files in there are the same with Marcello's

EDIT : my transdata folder is almost a perfect copy of the transdata folder from Marcello... there is just a difference with "TTS_TRANS_SPE.rul" in SPE

You are absolutely right, no SWS folder in Marcellos. Wonder where I got that idea from ...

Have to start searching for the right version of those files.

Thanks folks for sharing the files and for your time to help out others.

In my case everything was going smooth. Even the Dutch TTS was still there.

No extra TTS was needed. Thanks again.

Hello,

I need a TTS in Slovenian language. Is this posible ?

I can help to translate in to a Slovenian.

Please get this ?

Thnx

Posted Dec 05, 2013 · 20:20 UTC#24

@eden : you can forget about it... there is no Slovenian TTS voice.

@peta : check your MP inbox for the nonag exe v5.0 and read carefully what's next...

If you get no sound from your TTS voice after a successfull install, try the following :

- format your SD card (the full format, it's long but it's worth it!) on another SD card reader and/or PC.

- copy the TTS voice you want and another one which is not present on your avic on the SD card from this other SD card reader.

- install the other TTS voice, reboot then install the one you want, reboot one more time and it should work.

just confirmed by a F9310 owner who had the TTS voice with no sound problem... give it a try!
